Job Description

I run a start-up, building a Ruby on Rails SaaS application. I'm an entrepreneur/ project coordinator and I am looking for an experienced Rails developer who can implement and finish projects ON TIME as well as help strip non-critical features so that the core of the app can be up and running within 5-7 weeks. I will also seek your suggestions of faster/better ways of reaching the goals of the project.

You must be proficient with Ruby on Rails, Github, AWS, EC2 (Amazon SES is a bonus), command line server administration, and Rails deployment platforms (heroku, engineyard, etc.).

If you are an expert Rails developer with at least 3 years of Ruby on Rails experience please apply! If you are successful you will be part of an exciting small team, headed by an experienced programmer with more than 15 years experience.

I will only be looking at individual developers, agencies need not apply.


- Be responsive through email and able to effectively communicate. **
- Solid BDD/TDD skills (rspec and cucumber) **
- At least 5-6 hrs per day availability **
- Experience with GIT **
- Experience with SaaS based software
- Real world Ruby on Rails development experience.
- Know HTML/CSS and JS/jQuery
- Know and be familiar with new tech/trends in web dev + the Rails world
- Familiar with devise, omni-auth, resque, redis, mysql, haml, jquery, haml, resque

- Work closely with the technical manager for specific instructions
- Work independently to execute the desired results
- Make sure the website will be coded properly based on the design (to be provided)
- Other tasks to be discussed during interview.
