Transcript 1 hour interview
Closed - This job posting has been filled and work has been completed.
I have an audio interview in English. The length of the interview is 60 minutes. We are three people interviewing one person, and the interviewed person speaks about 80% of the time.
I need one transcriber to work this case. I need a total transcribed version in approximately 72 hours.
I will select the applicant within the next 12 hours. I will need to know right away if you cannot complete the transcript within 72 hours. Please do not apply if you cannot handle 60 minutes of transcription within a 72-hour period.
Not verbatim. There's no need to include uh-huhs, um-hmms, okays, rights, yeahs, yeses, etc., unless they are critical to the meaning of the sentence (or contained within a quote--see below), such as answering a direction question: "Did you work for IBM just before you worked at Hewlett Packard?" "Yes." (Some "okays" and "yeahs" here and there are okay.)
There must be two spaces after each period/end of sentence.
There's no need to identify the speakers by name, but it is important to know when the interviewed person answers (two types of people: the interviewer(s) and the interviewed person).
Please do not space between em dashes, example, "I thought you--we didn't--I thought you wanted to go to the store."
Commas must be placed between independent clauses (complete sentences) and compound sentences, example, "I woke up, I ran to the store, and then I went home."
Place an [inaudible] tag where the audio cannot be heard.
Place an [unintelligible] tag where the speaker is unclear or you can't understand what's being said.
Place the approximate timestamp directly after an [inaudible] tag or an [unintelligible] tag. Example: She said she was [unintelligible] [0:02:58.0] but that she was going to leave early.
Place a [speaking at once] tag just before where two or more people begin speaking at the same time, and you can't make out what's going on, after which an approximate timestamp should be placed.
Use quotes when a quote is implied: So we were sitting there in the office, and I go, "Hey, shouldn't we be getting to that meeting right now?" and the office manager said, "Yeah, we better leave now, or we're going to be late."
Final document must be spell-checked.
I estimate that this task will take about 4 hours. Please include your own estimate
