We are looking for an expert that will develop APPs for us.
We did not decide yet which way we will go, but we know that we will need at least an iOS and an Android version. Win and Blackberry would be a nice to have but they are not mandatory - or can be released later on.
We tested a lot of HTML5/CSS based NON NATIVE (container) APPs that we could find ... and we only liked few of them because most of them do not feel even close to the quality of native APPs as their loading behavior was very much like a website and the devs did not do a good job on preloading.
So either we need to develop 2 native APPs or we need somebody really experienced in solutions like Phonegab, Appcelerator, ...
Quality is very important for this project and even if we will decide to not build native apps it must feel "as native as possible".
APP Concept Overview:
- The APP will be used to find certain businesses nearby. Businesses will have a image gallery plus some structured data. Distance will be displayed in km or miles.
- Users will be able to login and register (plus FB signup/login)
- User will be able to write reviews about the businesses
- Users will be able to upload photos
- Users will be able to change their basic profile data (like password)
<--- more or less like the Yelp or Qype Apps
Further details will be discussed in Skype
We have inhouse designers and the screens are already done. We would be able to provide all needed graphics (in all resolutions and formats).
The backend of the system is RUBY ON RAILS based. So SPINE or jQuery Mobile could be an other interesting option for a non native solution...
The API will be provided by us.
If you want to apply please make sure to provide links to APPs that you already built and give us a brief description about the solution you would recommend for this project.
Please note that we are also searching for Devs offline for this project.
Please apply by writing your favorite cocktail into the first line so that we can be sure that you read all the way down to here :)
Thank you very much,
Skills: graphics, blackberry
