UI / UX - Mobile Designer for Financial Management App

We are currently seeking an experienced, creative and driven UI professional to work with our engineering and operations team in the United States to design our latest mobile application.
The application is for the Financial Management sector and our goal is to get the first round of designs for the iPhone, while later applying slight redesign for the Android counterpart. Please read the next few sections carefully and apply if you feel confident in the position.
This is a role for a creative individual who is comfortable working in a busy environment on simultaneous tasks and managing the day-to-day production of online creative for a wide variety of product initiatives.
You’ll need to be a great communicator, as you’ll be liaising frequently with fellow designers, developers, producers, marketing and product development departments. The role will be leading the UI / UX design of the new mobile App project whilst mentoring the existing design team with the principles and best practices for good mobile design and UX.
> Leads the design, look and feel, and user experience of the mobile and web apps, (and website if needed).
> 5+ years of expertise with the design patterns of mobile and web based applications.
> Demonstrable fluency with Adobe Creative Suite; especially Photoshop and Illustrator
> Strong portfolio, demonstrating design savvy UI work
> Exhibits ability to both design new products from scratch and improve existing products
> Exposure to agile software development is a plus
> Experience with data visualization and/or information design is a plus
> Education Degree in interaction design, visual design, or equivalent preferred but not required
This is for part time work, which will begin at no more than 15-20 hours per week to start as we nail down proof of concept designs. Once approved by our team, we will go into more semi full workload of up to 25 - 35 hours per week until the project is completed.
