Ebay API Programmer Needed
Closed - This job posting has been filled.
Here's what I had posted on elance.com.
We need an API written for the Ebay store. We have about 50,000 products we're going to want to maintain on there with correct inventories & product information. We can provide you with the necessary queries for the information out of SQL. What we would want is a complete rewrite of our existing program to feed Ebay the info and to get return information into our system. Probably going to want an automated checkout service as well.
We're looking for someone with prior experience because it should be a pretty standard integration. Hopefully this can be done quickly.

We also wouldn't mind some direction to take advantage of all of Ebay's features & benefits, design suggestions and other helpful tools that we could/should be using to sell more products on Ebay and make our back end management easier. We currently sell about 1700 items a month on Ebay.
Note: We do not participate in auctions, just the store.

The details of the job are fairly straight forward:
We would feed you information via a view in SQL server. That data would need to be loaded into Ebay stores. We'll start with the data we think you need and you can make recommendations on additional information you think we should add.
That data would need to be maintained in the stores. If a description, picture or any other bit of information changes, it would need to be reflected in the Ebay stores. Inventory counts is an important number that would need to be updated frequently.
Then we would need data back from the Ebay API to put into our system. Namely, the Ebay user ID, email address, auction number, our SKU number, quantity & price. That way as soon as the auction ends, we would have all the information we need to populate our shopping cart. That information can just be dumped out into a table and we would take it from there.
We would also need return API feeds for PayPal activity. The end user can purchase the item directly from Ebay and use PayPal, so we would need to know when that happens so we can close the auction.
Then if we could have a bulk positive feedback button to take care of everyone at once with a default message, that would be great.
Above & beyond all that... if there are any aesthetic suggestions you could make to alter our Ebay store, we could discuss that as well.
