Delving dungeons deep to deliver the news! That is what we do everyday at ARPGamer. We are a professional gaming news site, dedicated the the action role-playing genre. We cover games such as Torchlight 2, Diablo III, Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, The Elder Scrolls, and many other dungeon crawlers.
Our focus is on bringing quality content regarding the games that we love most to the masses. We are looking for a few more contributors to add to our growing team. We only launched our site a month ago and we are already developing quite the reader base. As we are a new site and still working on the funding aspect of the site, we are paying approximately $2 for every published article of 300-400 words. That may be very low, but we are slowly growing the site and this will turn into a lot more money for our regular contributors.
We are looking for highly skilled writers that have a passion for playing action RPGs. While English does not have to be your native tongue, you must have a firm dominance of the language and the ability to eloquently (and humorously) present your articles.
There are many perks to working with ARPGamer, one of them being the opportunity to work one on one with game development studios through interviews and projects. You will also have the opportunity to play many of the games before they come out.
As part of the site, we require that you be active on gaming forums to help build our brand (we do not do direct advertising, but we have other methods of driving traffic to the site). You must be available to write a few articles a week, if not one a day and we reserve the right to reject any sloppily written article until it is cleaned up for presentation.
In the end, this is an excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a gaming news site that will afford you many opportunities (playing games early, working with developers, gaming expo passes), could grow into a full time gig, and will be an excellent addition to your resume.
In order to apply for this job, you must send a piece of writing that you have done in the past. It is not required, but it will be beneficial if it is gaming related.
