DBA for High-Profile Archaeological Research Project!
We are looking for a database administrator to perform the migration of a MS SQL database from version 2000 to 2008 for a high-profile archaeological research project (www.catalhoyuk.com) affiliated with Stanford University. This includes the rewrite of Data Transformation Service routines as SQL Server Integration Services and the reintegration and testing of the backend to work with the webserver (IIS). Ideally the candidate would have a background in RDBMS, database administration and database management as well extensive Microsoft SQL Server experience. This is a temporary position for which the completion of the work will be paid $17,000 USD. Candidates from the San Francisco Bay Area will be given preference although we will also consider candidates who would have to work remotely. The successful candidate may also be considered for future work with the project given their skill set and their performance on this deliverable.
