Data Analyst For Groundbreaking Research On Online Attraction
Closed - This job posting has been filled and work has been completed.
We have some of the most interesting data ever collected related to successfully meeting women on today's popular dating sites, and we’re looking for a ninja number-cruncher to dig into the data.
We collected this data with an end in mind: systematically breaking successful online dating down to a science...
The data has already allowed us to determine a number of interesting things, such as how girls in their 20s respond well to a slightly cocky but humorous approach, while women in their 30s and above reject that approach in favor of a more kind and confident one.
The first step of the project will be simple. We’ve been testing around 30 new copy & paste email templates over the last 6 months, and we simply want to calculate their response rates. We might go one step further and calculate response rates for different recipient age groups, but again, it will be simple.
It will be highly beneficial if you are an advanced Excel user and are able to set up some advanced formulas...
This is an ongoing opportunity since we’ll always be accumulating more data. Plus, if you know how to do advanced analyses, we will be interested in seeing what we can discover by digging quite deep into this data.
There are a lot that can be done, but here's an example: Let's say you have the ability to conduct a linguistic analysis of the body of the emails, then we can assess whether certain kinds of words (articles, pronouns, verbs) affect the likelihood that an email gets a response. Ideally, you could even build a statistical model that predicts the likelihood of getting a certain response (that is our outcome variable) from the type of message being sent, including linguistic styles (our predictor variables), above and beyond the effect of other factors known to impact response (those would be our control variable).
If you think you would be a good candidate for this position, please tell us why. Also, be sure to put “ninja data analyst” in the body of your message so that we know you read this description until the very end.
