2D Animator(s) (Video Game Project)
Closed - This job posting has been filled and work has been completed.
Currently Dreamken Studios a small entertainment company, is looking for a freelance animator or team to help our lead animator. There are multiple phases to the production of the project, and with each successful phase completed your compensation will increase.
The first phase of production we're currently working on is a demo of the first stage (level) of our project. We already have processes in place to help speed up the process of animating characters for our world.
These processes include model sheets, in-game character testing software, and clear & precise instructions. We welcome feedback to improve animations based on instructions given.
This is a fixed rate job with 40 frames of animation needing to be completed, and maximum of 100 frames to be colored with shadows. The rate we list is negotiable, if it makes sense for both parties. Below are examples of previous model sheets, and animations. We're looking for the animator or team to handle color flats, and shadow duty, as well as complete the NPC animation work load.
We're under a strict deadline for this first phase, with all animation work wrapping up by March 2, 2013.
The next phase would start in late March with an increase of the rate if everything went accordingly with your previous contract with us.
We ask that we're given a minimum of 2 revisions per animation, you can charge us after the first 2 revisions. We feel that if your a quality animator, revisions will be minimal.
This is the current level of sprite sheet detail, and fluidity:
We expect the quality to stay the same, and we are pleased with the current quality.
Please submit a demo reel, pay rate, and in THREE WORDS explain to us why your the right person for this gig.
No money upfront, we do milestones. Every milestone completed a payment will be given. 3 milestones for this project.
We'll pick a contractor as soon as we find the right one for the project.
