Maintain a record of quantity for approximately 4000 SKU's. The worker will take information from a number of sources including paper, excel spreadsheets, and access databases, and create a method of inputting the data into a database (online or offline - tbd) that will be able to produce a record of expected inventory at the start of each day.
Information that influences inventory qty include obsolescence, sales orders, purchase orders, and cycle counts and breakage or spoilage.
The worker will design and build the database and then maintain it for a number of weeks to evaluate integrity. It is helpful if the worker can develop the system components: daily data collection, data organization, daily reporting.
The ideal method of data collection at your office is text file or MS Excel spreadsheet delivered daily.
The perfect candidate would be a developer and inventory analyst.
This is a new position and as such, my estimate on actual hours needed could be off. I would estimate it should take approximately three hours a day Monday through Friday. Our company works on -8 GMT. During initial set-up, there will daily conversations via skype but hopefully it will transition to email or IM until it's just passing data back and forth.
