Job Description

THIS IS A VERY DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF WHAT I NEED DONE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO READ IT AND JUST STICK A CANNED OFFER ABOUT HOW GREAT A WRITER YOU ARE, I WILL NOT READ IT AND DECLINE YOUR OFFER RIGHT AWAY. SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE TAKE A FEW MINUTES AND READ IT.

A) I wrote a 50-page Sales Training Manual that I use when I conduct sales training workshop.

B) I want to follow the above with a SMALL BUSINESS ONLINE MARKETING MANUAL to enable me to conduct workshops on how small businesses can promote themselves online.

C) The manual should be in WORD format, approx 55 pages with some images where needed to illustrate a topic.

D) The goal is to do a "beginner's manual" to teach a small business owner about the various aspects of on-line marketing. It is NOT meant to be an academic book for schools. It is meant to be for an average small business owner who knows very little about online marketing and who attends my workshops to learn about them from me (as instructor) and the manual he/she will get as an attendee in these workshop.

D) It should cover the following 10 topics: (if I forgot one or more, be my guest and let me know!)

1) THE INTERNET:
Explain origin, how it works, domains, websites, servers, etc.

2) WEBSITES:
Explain how it is built, hosted, promoted on search engines (meta tags, etc). You cannot believe how many small business people I know who do not know what the word "hosting" means!

3) SEO:
what is SEO how Google and other search engines promote your website, general requirement (NOT technical jargon), etc.

4) SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING
Explaian various ways of SEM: Google Adwords, PPC, etc.

5) SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING:
Explain Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and how they can be used to promote your business.

6) MOBILE MARKETING:
What it is and how it is done.

7) SMS MARKETING: B2B AND B2C:
Explain it, how it works, benefits, why it is hot now, etc

8) EMAIL MARKETING:
Geo-targeted by city, county, state, region, country, worldwide, opt-in, spam, etc.

9) BLOGGING:
what it is. How can it help a business. How to do it.

10) LINK BUIDLING:
what it is, how does it help promote a website, etc.

E) If you divide the min. 50 pages by the 10 topics, you will have approx 5 pages per topic. Plus a 1-page index, etc. Total approx 55. It can go to 60 if needed.

F) You need to write the manual in plain English (as little jargon as possible, and if such are used -ex PPC, explain Pay Per Click, what it is, how it works, etc.

G) The entire purpose of the manual is that I will be conducting a whole day workshop in a hotel meeting room and I will go over each of these 10 topics one by one in detail and they can follow my teaching by reading the manual you will be writing. The manual is not intended to be sold.

H) I can write it but I am a 1-man business and I do not have the time, or energy, to do it! I wrote the Sales Training Manual years ago and I have been using it in sales training workshops since then. I now want to start an ON-LINE MARKETING WORKSHOP FOR SMALL BUSINESSES.

I) Because I am a tiny home based 1-man business, my budget is very shallow. If I cannot afford it, I will sit on the project and do it slowly as my time allows. I am giving you at least a month to research and write it. I will need to see each part you finish before you go into the next one. If I hire you, I will send you a copy of the 2 index pages of the sales training manual I wrote so you can have an idea of how I want the new manual to look like.

J) I need to see samples of your writing such a publication.
