Thought leadership. That’s what we need. Someone who can profile and analyze complex performance bottlenecks. Someone who can give us the simplified performance tuning solution.
Here’s what we need done.
Profile the product’s performance.
Find the bottlenecks (understanding the profiler report).
Prioritize the bottlenecks and hot spots.
Research and generate the performance idea for the top bottlenecks.
Research new performance optimization ideas, and prototype them.
Refactor code for performance tuning.
Re-architecture the product for breakthrough performance optimization.
Make the performance optimization ideas happen.
Re-architecture for cloud migration.
Clearly, not a small job. Not an easy task. Certainly not for everyone. The one who succeeds, we call a GTeam FZ LLC Faster TAM.
Faster TAMs research performance improvement ideas and make them happen, across the diverse product family and technology library of DevFactory.
We pay $30/hour ($1500 fixed-price payment for a trial job if that trial leads us to hire you). We work with you through one of several approved staffing and payment platforms which will charge a percentage fee on your gross earnings, but you understand how those are. For United States citizens and permanent residents, we pay $24/hour because we have to cover W-2 processing.
We want to get to know you if you are very, very good at what you do, and have this experience:
Over 5 years in direct hands-on coding, which we assume led to a prior technical team leadership role, because you’re that good at it.
Performance optimization – you should know performance tuning from hands-on work in one of the performance profiling tools such as jprofiler, valgrind, purify, and insure++.
Data structure and algorithm – you need extensive experience in data structure, sort/search, and algorithms.
Software engineering – you should know the current software development practices and tools, including
Build and test automation
General coding and scripting – you know Java, C, .Net, or maybe all three, and you understand programming well enough to quickly learn new languages and scripting.
Differentiated capability – meaning, what everyone else can’t do, you can.
Non-technical skills we want to see:
Speak English. Write English. Not just barely, but capably enough to “talk technical”.
Video Skype capability, webcam, and you know how to use them to talk with us and do daily work.
40 hours per week available for this job.
How to qualify:
Show us who you are. We need verifiable identification, online skills tests, and a brief Skype video interview. Sorry, this part is not paid, but it won’t last more than a week, and if you’ve got the motivation, you’ll be done in a few hours.
Try out the job. During a one-week fixed-price trial assignment, prove to us that we should give you the full-time position of 40 hours/week at the job’s hourly rate. We’re looking for progress and dedication; if you show that, we may have other positions in GTeam FZ LLC for you even if you don’t get the assignment quite right.

We’ll make you a fixed-price offer to start qualifying, and you’ll get detailed instructions as soon as you accept this offer for the test phase. (This is not the paid part, but it’s how we get you into the appropriate recruiting team room.)
