Summary: A lead designer of the physical creation and design of our scenic sets, stages and decor elements. Design and creation of event spaces and fabrication of scenic elements. Software proficiency:

Maya/3D Studio Max/CAD
SketchUp
Form Z
Illustrator
Photoshop

Knowledge in both Mac and PC platforms

Experience in Event, Television or Film stage/set design required

FULL AD: A multiple award-winning Event, Multimedia and Creative Agency is looking for a full-time Creative Designer. This individual will act as the lead designer of the physical creation and design of our scenic sets, stages and decor elements. This individual must possess extremely sharp skills, including professionalism and teamwork. They must excel in a fast paced environment, and present exceptional communication skills. Summary: Design and creation of event spaces and fabrication of scenic elements

The extremely tech savvy candidate for this role will meet the following criteria:

Must have experience within the Events Industry
4 year degree in Architecture, Environmental, Interior, Exhibit or Industrial Design, or related field
Training in Multimedia
Excellent presentation, oral and written skills
Superior time management skills
Ability to prioritize and handle several projects at one time
Experienced understanding of creative product and corporate identity
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a creative industry/environment
History of RFP fulfillment
Financial and professional acumen
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude

Required Proficiencies:

Maya/3D Studio Max/CAD
SketchUp
Form Z
Illustrator
Photoshop
Must possess extremely creative eye
Must be proficient in both Mac and PC platforms
Experience in all Adobe and Apple graphic software
Strong abilities in Excel spreadsheets and/or Numbers
Technical drawing, 3D rendering and modeling
Hand sketching skills

Duties include:

Determines the look and feel of a project, based on client input
Creates renderings to reflect the aesthetic of event elements to represent each client's brand
Creates and maintains a pre-production scenic time-line
Works with Facilities Manager to secure on-site and stage elements
Manages sub-contracted vendors throughout pre-production, on-site and post-production processes
Obtains vendor estimates to ensure scenic and decor elements are within budget
Proofreads budgets to ensure that scenic elements are appropriately priced and represented
Provides detailed installation and strike plans for on-site scenic elements
Oversees on-site scenic set-up and strike for larger events
Reviews and approves all invoices related to scenic elements and supplies
Communicates any deviation from timelines or budgets to Creative Director
Collaborates with HR to hire freelancers as needed for scenic elements and support staff

-This is a full-time position, starting at $70k + annually, based on experience, plus full benefits package
-Some travel required
