We are looking to create a modified installation folder of oscommerce 2.3.X you can look at oscommerce.com. You only need to worry about the catalog directory.) that has the eBay API already integrated into the installation. See the eBay API here http://developer.ebay.com/common/a
The API allows you to do the following:
Submit items for listing on eBay
Get the current list of eBay categories
View information about items listed on eBay
Get high bidder information for items you are selling
Retrieve lists of items a particular user is currently selling through eBay
Retrieve lists of items a particular user has bid on
Display eBay listings on other sites
Leave feedback about other users at the conclusion of a commerce transaction
Our main concern, for the time being is having the API push newly listed products into the oscommerce inventory, and remove them from the oscommerce inventory when they sell.
We are only concerned with several fields, item title, pictures, and shipping cost.
It needs to be extremely easy to set up. The package should come in the same catalog folder, except with modified files.
Any field a user would need to specify, such as ebay login and password, api keys, etc should have a easy to managed field in the backend, within the /admin panel. Where a user can simply enter the required fields and save them there.
