Company description: Focus Point Recruitment is owned by an independent freelance recruitment consultant with extensive knowledge of the global power generation, mining and technical recruitment sectors. It successfully recruits highly qualified candidates with niche skills and now offers candidate search services to other agencies.

Main duties and responsibilities:

You will be searching online databases for suitable candidates before they are checked and forwarded to our prestigious clients. You will need to read through the job descriptions paying special attention to the essential criterion, making sense of the job and then match them to CVs found online. You will be given 3-5 job board log-ins and a number of vacancies to work on. On occasion you will be sent example CVs instead of job descriptions and you will be asked to find similar candidates. You should be used to technical (engineering, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace and NOT IT) recruitment-these job descriptions are very technical and the candidates hard to find. You will be asked to shortlist the best you can find and not send multiple CV’s-your job is to figure out which are the best candidates.

You will be given access to the Focus Point Recruitment “back office” software and will be shown how to shortlist candidates. You may have to email candidates and dependant on your experience and charges you may also be asked to put questions to candidates verbally.
Essential criteria:
The ability to use Boolean search
Technical recruitment experience in engineering, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, power generation etc.
Ability to read and understand technical job descriptions
Know where to look to find out the meaning of varied acronyms.
Knowledge of how to use job boards and LinkedIn Recruiter
You must be PC literate confident with using the Internet and emailing.
In-depth internet research experience
A good telephone manner is required.
You must have a computer and Internet connection.
You must be accustomed to spending time on the Internet.
Excellent English, written and verbal.
A keen eye for detail
Desirable criteria:
Access to your own job boards
Data mining expertise.
Previous recruitment experience.
Degree educated/studying
Administrative expertise.
Responsible for: Finding candidates well-matched to the job descriptions you will be given.

Number of days per week: To be advised depending on workload

Miscellaneous: There is a bonus scheme; if a candidate you find is placed with a client (a live job) I will pay you 5% of my fee from the client. I will pay you this when I receive my fee from the client.

For any candidates you enter on the ATS (speculative, not for a live job) I will pay you 2.5% of my fee whenever that candidate is placed.
