Job Description

PC stand alone application to translate data from an EPOS till into a Hotel Management system.
The new application needs to perform 3 separate functions.
Firstly to call a stored procedure located on a hotel server and then from the results create a CSV file in a specified location in a defined format that the tills can read.
Secondly to monitor a folder for the existence of a CSV file created from the EPOS tills and then read that file in and write out new CSV files in the correct format for the Hotel system.
Thirdly to extract sales data from the tills on a daily basis via an XML socket and write the results into a CSV file for the Hotel system to read.
There will need to be some logging and error reporting to ensure that users know if there has been any issues.
