Daily Sub-contractor for Transcription Work
Closed - This job posting has been filled and work has been completed.
Founder of a Coaching/VA/Transcription practice seeking full-time freelancers/independent contractors who specialize in Transcription.
As you can see I wear several hats and I need to focus on marketing while also working multiple client projects.
I'm in need of sincere, reliable transcriptionists who can be available for daily work of 30-45 audio minutes and some weekends as well. I'd like to have at least 2 people.
I am a bit of a workaholic and take great pride in my work as it is part of my business. I'm looking for people that can understand this with a similar work style.
You should be a PC user with Dropbox and Express Scribe already downloaded with mid-level experience with all types of audio quality, accents, formatting styles and able to receive varying types of audio/video files. Your ability to follow instructions should be evident in your work.
No project will be the same. This is long-term, not just for one project, not just for one client. So great flexibility and adaptability is more than necessary.
Payment will vary per project as well to be paid on a weekly basis (but will never be lower than $0.30/audio minute). I can't guarantee high rates right now, but I can guarantee weekly work, 1-on-1 coaching/training, and other benefits, with future increase.
There will be a series of trial tests at $0.25/audio minute to check not only your ability to transcribe, but your knowledge of American English writing styles/standards/spelling/language, research skills, critical thinking skills, how well you communicate professionally, your work ethics, punctuality, reliability, as well as your ability to follow instructions and client guidelines. A true transcriber knows it's not just about how fast you type or having good listening skills.
If the trial tests go good, we will further discuss you moving on.
If you think this fits you and you are looking to be a professional transcriber, please respond with grammatically correct answers.
I look forward to reading your responses and getting started real soon.
