Structural engineering part b) structural analysis
Closed - This job posting has been filled.
I have had an steel framed barn 10m x 20m x 7.6m tall designed in China. Its is a simple box with a pitched roof. Unequal pitches. The design windspeed is 41m/s. The quality of the engineering drawings are very good and consist of 13 autocad .dwg drawings (in mandarin). However, you do not need to be able to read mandarin to understand the drawings and be able to do part b) and part c)
There are three seperate jobs that need to be done
a) Translate into English
b) Do a structural analysis of the structure and enter the beams into whatever software you use and give me what you consider to be safe static distributed load for 28 degree pitch roof. (The distributed load is solar pv panels)
c) Re-design the pier footings for building on rock. i.e. replace with a ring beam and slab
For part b) I want to see your working calculations. Not just a random 2500kg is a safe load. And that 2500kg might or might not be the design load the shed has been designed too.
