food and baking recipe-writing - beginning with a test
Need someone with creativity and drive to ensure a steady stream of recipes into my food site: www.jesperfrovinjensen.com/food - please check it out and get a feel for what I want on the site, which categories I have etc.
It is important that you feel interest for the project. If we come along nicely, I hope our collaboration could last far beyond the test period.
As you see on my website, there can also be possibility of doing other food-related articles, tips&tricks, reviews etc., so you can have fairly 'free hands' in writing.
However, I have a couple of conditions:
Your recipe must be able to pass a 'copyscape' test, i.e. being original and not 'borrowed' from somewhere else - I want only original content, as I don't want to risk copyright issues arising later on
When you agree to publish on my site, you also agree to transfer the copyright of your recipe text to jesperfrovinjensen.com/food
All recipes must have illustrations. The type of illustration is up to you.
a) be original - and therefore
b) not be taken off the internet
c) if photos - be of good quality (in focus, good color balance, appetizing/mouth-watering)
Copyright of the illustrations must - just like the text - be transferred to jesperfrovinjensen.com/food by your accept to publish on my site
You will be credited as the author of the recipe - both in terms of your name appearing together with the text (is done through giving you 'author privileges' to my site) as well as being the photographer of your food.
If someone else takes a photo for you and you upload it - that particular person will be credited for the photo - however it is always your responsibility to provide this information
Recipes need to be written using the 'metric system', so: °c; ml; dl; gram; kilo; cm - NO 'cups' (as cups have different sizes), ° F... etc
Measurements like: pinch; tsp; tbsp and similar are ok....
Your English has to be flawless!
The frequency of uploading is something we will arrange between us. I want to see your stuff 'for real'...
This is also the reason for me to set a limited price for the test period, a fixed price of 10$ for 5 (five) recipes/articles. I know that sometimes writing a recipe takes time - and sometimes you pull one 'out your sleeve' and write it down in moments.
If we 'swing together' - harmonizing on the contents etc, I am sure we can continue working for a long time beyond the test. I am not interested in cutting someone off, if I like the content. However, it must also be held in relation to what i invest in the site.
Actually, this is only a project paid by my pocket money, so there is not a large budget behind. That is also why I want you to be passionate about what you do yourself - then I know I get quality content and we both can be happy.
Please attach an example of your own, original recipe, when you apply for this job. Hopefully with a photo - but if you don't have any photo at this moment, do not let that make you refrain from applying. Then I just need to see the food for my 'inner eye'... nevertheless I would prefer you sending the illustration along.
To be sure you have read my posting carefully and understood what I meant, I want you to start your application with the words: Basil, thyme and sage. If you don't do that, I cannot be sure you can grasp/work under instruction and I will prioritize other applicants who do write these words.
Thank you for reading this far...
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Jesper Frovin Jensen
ps. Convince me that you have passion for food....!
