iOS developer needed for order taking app with integration with Quickbooks IPP platform
SalesCase (SC) is an app made for wholesalers who take orders at tradeshows. A similar app that is on the market is called Handshake App. SC will not be as feature rich as Handshake, but is more simple and easier to use. And also integrate with Quickbooks (QB) out of the box with their IPP Intuit Anywhere platform. I'm looking for an iOS developer to build the alpha version of this app right now. Hopefully, we can continue to work for future builds also. I”m looking for someone experienced who can architect and build quickly.
The black buttons are not included for the alpha. More details may need to be flushed out once we start building, but I believe most of it is there. This will also give the data fields needed.
See attachment for spreadsheet of features scoped for this alpha version.
Product data: Uni-directional from QB to SC.
Customer data: Bi-directional.
Order data: Uni-directional from SC to QB.
You can recommend whether or not we should be syncing incrementally or in bulk. I understand there is a lot more details to flush out for the integration requirements, so please budget accordingly. Some of these requirements will require your consultation to determine what works best for the user, our budget and is within technical limitations.
iPhone and iPod.
For now, the iScan barcode scanner http://www.mobilogics.com.tw/us/iS
I have a sample of this scanner, and they have provided me with the XCode SDK to integrate into our app: http://salescaseapp.enhancetrade.c
More Integration Details:
QB uses the Intuit Partner Platform (IPP) to help developers integrate with QB. The current method of integration uses Intuit Anywhere (IA). You can find out a lot more here: https://ipp.developer.intuit.com/0
There is also information on dev kits for iOS: https://code.intuit.com/sf/wiki/do
If you determine that it is easier to integrate with IPP/IA via a web app, then I prefer a LAMP based web app, unless there is a strong reason to use something else, like .NET.
I’m not an expert developer, however I have project management, front-end and some back-end development experience. I work with experienced developers for alternative perspectives if we need it. But I’m looking to you to be able to handle the learning, planning and development of this. Ideally, you’re already experienced in integrating with QB IPP/IA or something similar.
You hopefully have a basic understanding of wholesale trade, small business and QB software.
My availability is from 9am to 10pm, Toronto time and I’d like to be able to communicate directly with you during these hours. If the project timeline is too aggressive, I can add time to it, but I’m hoping its reasonable as I have many users looking forward to testing the alpha at the January tradeshows.
