Hi, I'm David, an artist, designer, and inventor of creative digital solutions in Charleston, SC. My gift is the ability to visually characterize thoughts & concepts without limitations. My goal is to beautify media through functional, intuitive design. With proficiency in HTML/CSS and a wealth of working knowledge, I am equipped to execute your project the right way.
I'm an attorney-turned business academic, who can turn some pretty arcane stuff into lively readable copy. I practiced law in the employee benefits field before turning to teaching at a community college. I teach a wide variety of courses including English, Business Law and American government. My first love is writing, though. My experience makes it possible for me to wade into some technical areas others might find daunting and drag out the treasure. It's not good writing, no matter how scholarly, if no one wants to read it. I've published in print in national journals like Compensation and Benefits Management and Benefits Quarterly. My online portfolio includes blogs, white papers and research pieces on legal and educational topics, but I'm always up for a new challenge.
I've always been passionate with words and writting, and received enthusiast feedbacks when I worked as a journalist in our regional newspaper back in France. I provide French translations that are well written, easy and pleasant to read, with a diverse and rich vocabulary. My work can be specific, technical and direct (such as punchy marketing lines) as well as more redacted and developped. I've been doing translations and reviewing tasks for 4 years now within my company, where I'm a customer service representative covering French and English speakers. I did many translations for French audience as well as for French Canadian one. I've completed a one year translation class.
Branden Moskwa is a Doer and Achiever, having competed in NCAA College Baseball, Scout to the SanDiego Padres in the 2005 NL West championship season and Assistant coach at TRU for the 2005 National Championship. After injuries continued to sideline his competitive sports career he returned home and became one of the trail blazing pioneers to complete a newly offered and nationally acclaimed entrepreneurship degree program offered at Mount Royal. During his studies Branden also re-found his love of technology, ingrained in him from childhood, where his father would lug a “Luggable” computer up and down flights of stairs so that Branden could learn the artful skills of programming when growing bored of the unbeatable tic-tac-toe games. Just months after graduation quit a stable job with a fortune 500, to begin building his mobile advertising empire. Within another 4 months, before the days of social media and online viral campaigns was featured in over 30 traditional media outlets including CBC, CNN, and the Globe&Mail. Using technology unseen in the industry, as an accelerator Branden took lead of the new and emerging market space. Several years later, after negotiating international licensing agreements, Branden closed one final deal and ventured onwards to new entrepreneurial experiences. Branden co-founded Tradeopolis Communications in 2006, and grew this organization into a profitable consulting firm with increased profits year over year. Branden believes that to survive in business requires obsessive focus and relentless determination, coupled with genuine and honest interactions with all those around him. He marries these together in perfect harmony. Nominated for the 2013 Guardian Small Business Leader Of The Year, Branden is passionate about connecting and building relationships, specifically with entrepreneurs and works in an advisory capacity with various clients he believes have the "it" factor.
