Professional Instructional Designer and Training F...

United States - Last active: 4 days ago - Tests: 3 - Portfolio: 4

The combination of my education and experience is a solid foundation for a position within Instructional Design (ID). Having completed a BS and MS in Instructional Design, I have a strong foundation of ID methodology, theory, and design principles. I have over 3 years working experience within higher education as an Instructional Designer and educator, in addition to my time learning through higher education. My roles have ranged from my work with The Center for the Application of Information Technologies at Western Illinois University as an Instructional Designer meeting with faculty and building online educational systems, to teaching undergraduate students technology within the classroom, to developing online and classroom training and professional development materials for East Carolina University Office of Grants and Contracts. I also have corporate training development experience with UnitedHealthcare and Manic Media Group, INC, based in Washington D.C.. Within those two positions I managed multiple projects and assumed a lead designer role. I was tasked with implementing best practices, solid design work, and suggesting appropriate design methods while remaining innovative. Within Instructional Design, I am a multipurpose tool. I excel at front-end analysis, developing the foundation for design and development through the ADDIE model, evaluation and measurement, and overall client relations. Furthermore, as a creative individual, I also excel at storyboarding, multimedia development, photography, and various design software programs, such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. I have intermediate to proficient skills with most technologies used in this fiend, to include BlackBoard, Lectora, and Camtasia. Being able to design and develop instructional materials and systems with outstanding design and visual principles, and developing full working instructional design systems that are rich with analysis and instructional design theory, I feel I am a perfect candidate for this position. Furthermore, my written and verbal communication skills are superb, and allow me to navigate a variety of conversations and situations. Having been a non-traditional student, I also understand the demands and needs of online learning students from the viewpoints of the University, the Faculty, and the student alike.

High End Photo Retoucher, Photoshop Expert

Bulgaria - Last active: 11 days ago - Tests: 3 - Portfolio: 13

'If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur.' - Red Adair I am expirienced high- end photo retoucher, one of the best here in oDesk. I have worked for major Bulgarian companies. I am offering only the very best retouching service and quality. Although a lot of contractors would be tempted to hire cheaper freelancer to do the job, there are some major differences which I would like to point out - First, and foremost, when you are trying to promote your brand, the first thing your clients are going to see are your photos. Think of online stores (clothes, products, technology), billboards (again..), magazines, flyers, brochures, look-books, etc, etc. The first thing that catches your client's eyes is the photo. The photo is the representation of your product and brand. The client doesnt usually see the effort put into making the product, or the time spent on it, or how much technical skill is put into it. He sees only an image of a final product- which is just like all other products he sees daily. If the photo is cheaply done (for example: plastic face, colors which are ok, but not enhanced to "catch the eye", misused techniques, etc) it will represent your brand as cheap. Here is a fast example with a swimwear. Both photos are retouched. The first one is retouch with porcelain skin effect, badly retouched, bad shadows and highlight and bad photo manipulation - you can very clearly see the girl is fakely put into the background. This is cheap work, and make your brand looks cheap. This is what you are usually getting for cheap retouch. Second is professional retouch. 1) http://oi61.tinypic.com/10x5vlz.jpg (bad retouch) 2) http://oi62.tinypic.com/1197yo4.jpg These extra few dollars spent into retouching to hire a professional, will actually bring you a lot more money. Retouching is investment in your brand and your product. -I am familiar with human anatomy, which is essential in retouching. There are incredible amount of retouchers, who doesnt give attention to that, which results in "photoshop fails", even for big companies like Target and Victoria secret. Do you think your average 5$/h knows anatomy? - I am good in color correction. I know how to change and alter colors , so your photo catches the eye. Speaking of colors, here are some examples. - I am speaking English. You would be surprised how many people here have their profiles and cover letters written for them. It looks alright, until you hire the person and start talking with him about the project- then it turns out, he doesnt quiet do what you want, because he can't really understand you. - I am creative, and I can give that extra- something your photo needs to reach the next level. - I am hardworking, reliable, and I always keep deadlines.

United States - Last active: 3 days ago - Tests: 6 - Portfolio: 12

Since 1998 I have developed dozens of web applications focusing on a wide-range of industries including custom search engines, affiliate marketing, real estate solutions and worker safety. As an autodidact, I pride myself on learning new technologies and continually improving my skill-set. As a freelancer, I believe in professionalism, clean code and representing my craft to the highest degree possible. On the server-side, Laravel is my current PHP framework of choice, although I am comfortable working with Zend, CodeIgniter, Cake and Yii. For the database layer, I have 14 years of experience with MySQL. On the client-side, I prefer jQuery, Backbone and Twitter Bootstrap. Although I am not a graphic designer, I know my way around the Adobe software suite. I write standard compliant HTML5 and CSS3. I have an eye for useable, clean and obvious functionality. I have experience with many APIs, including Amazon, Box.net, Infusionsoft, Facebook, Twitter, PayPal, eWay, Authorize.net and Google. I can write APIs from scratch and give your application a RESTful interface. I am seeking opportunities to build custom web applications from the ground up or taking an existing code base and improving upon it.

PPC for SME's. Over 500 clients managed. Money bac...

Australia - Last active: 2 days ago - Tests: 2

I have over 8 years experience in managing over 500 Google Adwords campaigns for small and large companies in Australia. I'm extremely passionate about PPC and love keyword research, building accounts from scratch and optimising existing accounts. I have years of experience teaching businesses how to run Adwords campaigns themselves so they do not have to rely on me forever. I do this by doing a comprehensive audit of your Adwords account while my screen is shared with yours, then go through with you step by step on how to implement the changes so everything is 100% transparent. I have worked for large companies like Groupon as a PPC manager, and also Google Australia on the mobile advertising team(Admob) as an account manager. My first job was with a Sydney based digital marketing company over 8 years ago where I was responsible for managing over 500 Google Adwords accounts for small to medium businesses over a 4yr period. I don't get any work outsourced, everything is done by me, by hand, so an hour paid by you is an hour worked by me. Why choose me? Freelancing is my full time job. I don't have another job where I need to juggle hours, this is it. Money back guarantee! I only believe in getting results for my clients and I want to build long lasting relationships. More than 8 yrs experience in PPC and account management. Exceptional communication skills. Reliability. Great time management skills. Resilient. Excellent researcher. Extremely passionate about helping people grow their businesses.
