I would really like to find an IT role that I can undertake while working from home due to my circumstances changing recently. My last position was a fixed term contract working for Barings Asset Management responsible for the implementation of Lync 2013 Enterprise Unified communications and SCCM 2012 R2. I have been solely responsible for the planning, testing, designing and implementation of both deployments, which were deployed for approximately 1000 users globally across 12 locations. These projects were managed simultaneously, whilst providing 3rd line Application and Server support as part of the Windows server team supporting 350 - 400 servers. My day to day duties included server support for Windows 03/08/12 servers these consist of different role and feature setups including IIS, Hyper-V, FTP, File and Print servers. System monitoring is performed using HP’s Insight Manager, Microsoft’s System Centre Operations Manager (SCOM) and Solarwinds. Work logged and progress tracked using LANDesk's ITIL compliant helpdesk software. I performed hardware callouts with HP and provided server hardware specifications for any specialised IT project within Barings. Other elements of my role included creating all planning, support and install documentation throughout the project often providing technical presentations and training sessions throughout. Installation of new servers and additional hardware as required as well as providing escalated support to the global helpdesk and desktop engineering teams. My previous exposure to Lync 2010 at Bloomberg LP helped secure my contract with Barings, however my role at Barings is far more in-depth and involved supporting and upgrading Barings from Microsoft’s Office Communication Server 2007 R2 to Lync 2010 Unified Communications. For my assignment, I was part of a special technical team who completed a full migration in 2012. Quality of service and Call Admission Control were installed to help assist with peer to peer A/V and conferencing A/V quality, which I am now responsible for managing. As a result, I have since deployed Lync 2013 Enterprise within Barings and have region based user pools for further call experience improvement. Other additional features I have installed include a P-Chat Server and Office web application server, a Sip trunk connection to a CISCO VCSC for room based conferencing and connection to BES5.5 and BES10 server for Blackberry mobile Lync communication. The next stage of the Lync implementation was Enterprise Voice integration with a Cisco 3300 for telephony which I completed in July 2014. Other parts of the project include working with the Desktop team to deploy the Lync 2013 client globally - For this project packaging, testing and a trail was completed before the rollout was completed globally by the end of June 2014. Another responsibility of my role at Barings is the planning, design and installation of the SCCM 2007 R2 as part of the Windows 7, Office 2010 upgrade project. This includes the implementation of 4 primary site and 1 secondary site server and 10 distribution points. I also support various teams to configure the client setting, Boundaries, PXE, OSD, WSUS and physical and app-v packages. Since that project was completed the migration to SCCM 2012 R2 has been completed. The company as now fully migrated to SCCM 2012 R2 still running Windows 7 and Office 2010. In 2011, I successfully completed a 6 month contract for Jupiter Asset Management implementing SCCM 2007 R3 and Windows 7 for 600 users. The project involved upgrading to Windows 7 and Office 2010. In my previous role at Bloomberg LP; I supported 18,000 users globally providing 3rd line application support for the EMEA region and London helpdesk teams. My role included SCCM administration, software licensing, hardware purchasing and project work. I was accountable for configuring SCCM with over 440 Packages, 7 Operating system builds and all required Microsoft Updates.
