Currently I'm employed by the very successful VoIP provider, where my main duties are to look after Linux server farm. Occasionally I create web user interfaces for clients, and I prefer python for such tasks, particularly I like Web2py framework. On my daily workflow there are times when I have to do DBA stuff, that is extracting and parsing various medium sized (~300K rows) data sets. Mostly this is a combination of MySQL and Python-Pandas. I do my best to replace MySQL with Postgresql whenever I can, as I like it more. I'm quite skilled in writing bash scripts, which I use in my system administration tasks on daily basis. Standard linux text manipulation tools are always on my menu - awk, sed, grep. Also I'm quite passionate about networking, network interface configuration, editing routing tables, setting up firewalls, capturing packets and etc. Last but not least, as I work for the VoIP provider I spend enough time in the Asterisk jungle, no more comments in here :)
Through my field work experience in computer based application and communication systems development, I've brought up a rich sense of excelling in this domain. So as a personal objective, I'm determined to put my skills and efforts to innovative tasks and further learning to develop into a beneficial entity. As at present I'm working as a full-time C#.NET Developer, however I'm ready to take further part-time challenges along side.

I have 10 years working with Asterisk, Linux, Postfix, Apache (and others). Actually i'm studying a bachelor in computer science at UNAM (Mexico) with focus on Data minning, Big Data, and Data Science. In the past i worked at comunications enterprise who has a large amount of office over a lot of cities in Mexico and Central America (Panama, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Dominic Republic), they have now a single callcenter where all calls that inbound from all cities, drops into that callcenter via VoIP with SIP over Asterisk. On the other hand, we build a system for automatic outbound calls for agents to prospect sales. I was also in charge of deployment of servers, Asterisk, Apache/PHP/Django (for web administration and web access for call agents), IPTables (for security), Squid (a web cache proxy for content filtering), Postfix+Dovecot for email, and a large of etcetera, all over ubuntu server and debian linux servers. often i wrote about my work, discoveries, advances and achievements in my blog at http://nizhi.im
