Specialise in design as well technical implementation of web and mobile based solutions. Work heavily on Javascript, Java along with Python. Keen to work on Web components driven jobs(Love Polymer). Love working on newer HTML5 features. I am a 11+years experienced developer. I have worked for more than 3-4 international solution providers before starting my freelancing career. Right now I am looking for a new Contract after doing one for a single long term contract. My profile can be viewed at in.linkedin.com/in/saurshaz A few bit about the work culture and commandments i believe in are below - #High focus of Test Driven Development (TDD). More importance on testing than implementation itself (E2E as well as Unit testing) #Heavily maintainable codebase/solution with clean and commented code. We do not compromise on quality at any stage. #Also rely a lot on continuous integration tools for being in control of the situation at all points pre-post implementation of the project #Work with the client in an agile methodology, Deliver a stage build to the client on heroku /AWS at suitable times and keep the client engaged for inputs along the way with communication channels(Skype/hangouts etc.) #Follow a lean but powerful tech stack(For Node - MEAN or Mean minus A plus X MVVM f/w, For Java / Python - Flask/ mysql/mongo, For- thin server , richer clients). Open to adapting more and more on this and learning along the way as different requirements are faced. #Defect management in simplest manner #Initially scope of work via easiest and quickest way of documentation) Modules based UI development like done in Polymer/Atomify along with Phonegap are the areas that I'm currently exploring. The github/bitbucket repo - https://github.com/saurshaz and https://bitbucket.com/saurshaz. Most of the work though is in private repositories on bitbucket. Some of the recently worked upon applications - * A public facing alumni based job portal -- letscatchup.net. Involves a job aggregators switch-ability with ease using a written-from-scratch framework * The current project which is a platform built on isomorphism of JS on browser and node world * An amazon wish-list clone that we plan to add more features and launch sometime http://about.me/saurshaz ~Saurabh  less

The path which lead me to where I am now began when I was about eight years old. After playing a few games of Baldies, an old real-time strategy game, I asked my mom and dad how video games were made. As soon as they told me that they were programmed, I was on my way and hooked. Within a year, and not without the help of my similarly-minded grandfather, I learned a lot of QBASIC. I soon managed to pick up HTML, as well. After a couple of years, these two began feeling stale to me, and I went on to bigger and better things: Visual Basic 6.0. Not long after, VB6 met the same fate, growing to be too tasteless and limited in its scope and expression. At this point, I introduced myself to PHP. I learned PHP in 2004, when I was enthralled by the idea of running my own internet webgame. I called this game Wizard Duels, which eventually went on to garner a user-base of 5000 before I lost interest and moved on to newer projects. I also started doing some freelance work on the side at this point, to put a little money in my empty, teenager pocket. Doing that freelance work lead me to obtain a PHP5 certification sometime in 2006. In 2007, I took a hiatus from programming, only to return a year later, nothing short of obsessive. I soon latched on to the ideology and concepts of the Ruby programming language. Its expression, to me, is beautiful, concise, and powerful in quite its own way. I've spent the past four or more years, from 2008 to now, expanding and refining my Ruby skill set. I am currently studying Computer Science at the University of Central Oklahoma. I am supporting myself through college, which, in these hard times, isn't always the easiest thing to do. Since I already spend most of my time programming, whether for school or personal projects, I imagine it couldn't hurt to try and make my way through my education doing what I already love to study and live to do. Today, I consider myself beyond competent as a programmer. I am easy to work with, reliable, and, once committed to a task, in it to win it. Most importantly, and with as much emphasis as possible, I truly love to code. Programming, to me, is not work: I love it; I live for the act of implementing brilliant ideas. Inhale a problem, exhale solutions.  less
