My name is Jared Foles, and I am an experienced A1 Audio Engineer/Mixer/Editor, Music Composer, and Video Editor. I have worked as a Producer for in-studio music projects, project manager for live events, provided scoring and sound design for film, video editing & color correction, booking, marketing & promotional services for venues, and many other roles and services for production/post production in music, film, and art events. I hope that I can be of service to your venue, organization or project.
I most recently held the position of Senior In-House Audio Technician at the United Palace Theater, a 4000 seat old NYC Vaudeville theater built in 1929, where my position was Front-Of-House and stage monitor mixing for live events and streaming video simulcast. I was also responsible for audio production set up, break down and equipment maintenance. Prior to my work at the United Palace Theater, I’d held similar positions at Long Island University’s Kumble Theater, NYC’s CBGB, Brooklyn’s Sputnik and Southpaw. At Sputnik in particular, I held the position of Production Manager, where I was responsible for a crew of 8 people for both live production and event management.
I am skilled in mixing on a diverse array of professional mixing consoles, including Mackie, Allen & Heath, and Soundcraft mixing consoles, as well as experienced in operation & repair of power amps, stage monitors, repair/creation of audio cables, and soldering. I also have extensive experience using a diverse array of production software, including Avid Media Composer, Nuendo, Wavelab, Izotope, Pro Tools, Sonar, Logic Pro, Reason, Sony Vegas, Avid, Ableton Live, and others.
I was mentored in studio audio production by Lee Evans-producer of the Beat Street soundtrack, and Cyndi Lauper, as well as a member of the group Brass Construction, and owner of Jambox Recording Studios in NYC. In live audio, I have been mentored by Eddie Alsina, who has been responsible for live sound at Iridium, LIU’s Kumble Theater, and has worked with many classic rock legends, including Earl Slick, Joe Strummer and Mick Jones of The Clash.
My film experience includes work as an audio remixer, sound designer, music composer, video editor & color corrector for short films by Tiffany Meeks, Aisha Bell, Kevin Lundquist, Nari Ward, and produced music for commercials for Willoughby Partners Advertising. I’ve also worked in the pop/rock/EDM/hip hop composition & production with many contemporary music groups, such as GAME Rebellion, Shrine for the Black Madonna, Monstah Black, The Sweet Fuzzy Itsy Bitsy, and I just finished sound editing work on a film to premiere at Brooklyn Academy of Music on Feb 18th by Goddey Asemota. You can find a list of clients at my personal website, listed below.
I also own a post-production studio based in Brooklyn (World Eater Recordings-http://www.worldeaternyc.com), where we have the tools and the ability to work remotely with hardware and software support, and where I have produced and collaborated with both major label and independent artists and performers from across the globe. I am also a current member of ASCAP, the Audio Engineering Society, and the Brooklyn Arts Council.
You can find info on the studio and an equipment list at the links below. You can also find a client list at two of the websites below.
If you're interested in my services, I'd like to have a conversation to asses the scope of the projects you require in order to provide you with a realistic price. I always make every effort to stay within the budget of my clients.
