    As a former journalist and freelance writer, I have gained a wide range of skills and experience in many areas of writing and editing. I have a long list of writing projects, which includes blogs, online news and feature articles, online news releases, website content development, editing, enewsletters, proofreading, keyword research, social media, script writing and speech writing. As a reporter first, and then editor of the Arkansas Sun, a countywide newspaper, I reported on everything from the plight of rice farmers to the goings-on at the County Courthouse. Some other past writing experience includes a screenplay that was produced, a monthly print magazine on state volunteerism for the Arkansas Governor's Office, and speech writing and new law summaries for the Arkansas Senate, as their Legislative Information Officer. As Assistant Director of the Arkansas Endowment for the Humanities, I helped develop programs at a grass roots level to bring culture, history and education to adults and children in the state. In addition to my other jobs, I worked with a personal injury attorney for 15 years, negotiating settlements with insurance companies and arbitrators, preparing legal documents, and helping represent the law firm’s clientele. I continue to consult with two law firms concerning their online presence including social media development, online and offline press releases, enewsletters, and blog writing. My passions are elder care, the Arkansas Food Bank, cooking, and organic gardening. I am efficient, organized and dependable.
