I'm an expert in GNU/Linux systems and other UNIX flavors. I have experience in CDN deployment, Cloud Computing, High Availability, Monitoring and Video Transcoding and Streaming. I've been working with GNU/Linux since I was 14, what makes more than 10 years of experience so I have a good background in its evolution, tools and administration. I also use to implement tools in shell script and python and I use to code my applications in python. In the last 6 years I've been working as systems administrator and Integrator for an IPTV company that offers streaming and web services. I directed projects regarding software distribution and upgrades automatization, product deployment architecture design and products monitorization. I co-designed and co-deployed the cloud computing platform for the company, its CDN with High Availability, its telephony system and other projects. I really like to learn new technologies, test its capabilities and see what can they do. I like to meet new people, work with them and share knowledge and opinions.

An ambitious *nix System and Network Administrator with eight years' experience working in ISPs and other service providers maintaining existing and designing new infrastructure. DevOps skills which help to bridge sysadmins' and developers' teams. Master's degree in Math Sciences. I'm looking for interesting projects which use new/young technologies and provide new challenges. Would also be great to work with interesting people.
I like writing programs which make life easier. Given a lot of similar files or a few gigabytes of data, to write a little Perl script to parse them all in seconds is a kind of task I really enjoy doing. While being my favorite programming language, Perl is, of course, not the only one I know. Just like any person pretending to be a good software engineer I can (and like to) write in C, and I used to write some code in C++ (need to say here that I don't like the style of coding when the whole program consists of definitions of various small classes and overloading various methods). I understand and like functional programming (e.g. Lisp and Haskell), and I like using map, reduce and filter concepts in other languages. I'm not a web programmer, that means that I won't apply for any PHP job or, in general, for a job requiring to create web sites. But I used to develop simple web services (Perl CGI scripts, small sites in PHP) and I understand how HTTP works. That means that I can act both as a web browser using telnet and as a web server using netcat and I don't panic when I see Internal Server Error. The last web-related thing I looked at was Node.js; I liked the idea and wrote a few hundred lines of code to see how it works. Just to list some more technologies: I used to create TCP/IP client and server programs in C and Perl both in Linux and Windows; I spent a few evenings developing a compiler and virtual machine for myself just to understand how all this stuff works; I know how to work with databases (just to list some: MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite), SQL queries, and stored procedures. I was a member of the ACM team of Novosibirsk university (our best result was to reach world semi-finals) and I spent nine years teaching students how to write programs so I understand most of the 'standard' algorithms: searching and sorting, graphs problems, etc., and can explain them if needed.
