    Experienced writer with both BA and MFA degrees in writing. I began doing freelance Arts and Entertainment journalism in 2002, and I have also successfully run a few small businesses where I developed important marketing, social media, and PR skills. Due to my business skills, I also genuinely enjoy writing product descriptions and reviews, as I still do them all the time for my own Etsy shop. I am not your typical shy and quiet writer, my theatre background also means I bring an energetic attitude to all of my work. I specialize in writing about health, nutrition, beauty products, natural and alternative medicine, herbology/aromatherapy, music, literature, theatre, silent films, fairy tales, Buddhism, jewelry, some pop culture and fashion, as well as both vegetarianism and veganism. However, please note, I am not limited to these subjects. I also have editing experience from several past Senior Editor roles. I'm reliable and a bit of a perfectionist. I generally have a fast turnaround time for articles/product descriptions, but I like to check, reread, and edit my work several times, so I prefer a couple of days to complete a task. I am currently seeking part time freelance writing work to increase my monthly income and keep me writing/ building writer experience. I do not want the skills I developed while in school to ever become complacent. And should it ever be of importance for a larger/more long term project, I do have active accounts on Pinterest and Amazon, thousands of Twitter followers, and two Facebook pages-- one of them since 2006. I prefer flat rate jobs, but am open to hourly.  less
