For 15 years, I have worked as a Graphics and Web Designer. I've done extensive work designing everything from CD jackets, poster boards, to magazine and book covers. For five of those years, I worked in my hometown of Tokyo Japan, under Tztom TODA design firm. I was also heavily involved in the design of www.rakuten.co.jp, the number one Internet eCommerce portal in Japan. My desire to experience and learn as much as I can lead me to America where I started designing websites. The San francisco Bay Area has been my home for the past 10 years and have enjoyed every moment of it. Most recently I've had the opportunity to design print materials for some of the fastest growing companies in the Bay Area. These print materials include folders, catalog sheets, business cards and even logos.
Hey! I'm a beer snob. Well, not a snob, but a beer knows-what-he's-talking about (who wants to be a snob?). I think they call it a Zythologist- someone who studies beer. I think that's fair to say; beer is a passion of mine, and I know a great deal about it. Brewing it, tasting it, writing about it... The blog - benlikesbeer.blogspot.com - is really where I developed my beer legacy. I write a few times a month about "beerducation," seeking to educate people about the culture of beer, and how to appreciate it more. I am currently a Senior Marketing specialist, and maintain Ben Likes Beer on the side. I recently passed 40 posts and over 17,000 views (and counting). What's more, I have interest in combining this passion with my degree - a BA in Digital Media - meaning App Developments, 3D media, and games (if you get creative). Well, that's about it from me. I genuinely appreciate the interest, and I hope to hear from you soon.

I'm currently completing my second Masters, a Master of Computer Science in Human Computer Interaction in which my thesis is on 3D user interface design and methods, essentially creating a new system from scratch. I can work with the desktop and mobile devices, using WebGL, OpenGL ES, DirectX11 and OpenGL 4 specification. I know how to create all types of shaders in glsl and hlsl, and work with immediate mode and the new pipeline very well. I also have learned how to take pseudo code from research and books and implement them as well in shaders. I can apply engineering principles for optimization for rendering engines, and do client/server work as well in c/c++, java, and objective-c, as well as work with computer science algorithms for creating specialized effects and utility functions. I can also program for mobile devices, primarily in iPhone and Windows phone, though I am able to work with Android also.

My passion for art started with games such as War Craft III, Diablo II and Guild Wars and once I saw the great art prodused for these games I just had to start drawing. I try to be versatile in a lot of tehniques, be they stylised characters or rich painterly environments. In my work I always push for more, I always find something new to learn and develop my style and overall workflow to be better and more efficient
I, Nicole M. Bowen have been a Product Graphics Designer at Techtronic Industries (TTi) as well as a Digital Imaging/Design Freelancer in Anderson, SC since December 2011. I graduated from Clemson University ('11), having received a Bachelors of Science degree in Graphic Communications, graduating Cum Lade in my class/#6 in my major, as well as receiving a Cooperative Education certificate. Recently I have started my own Etsy shop and am selling custom designed stationary specializing in Wedding Stationary. During my studies at Clemson University I have completed two full-time internships, worked as a freelance digital imaging specialist for the past 3 years, and worked part-time at a local student-run printing job shop. By working during my college years I was able to gain the relevant work experience as well as an extensive knowledge base for my major and future career. In addition to my classes and working, I also was a 4 year letter winning student-athlete and a two-time ACC Champion in both individual and team categories for Clemson NCAA Women's Rowing. Being part of Clemson’s Rowing Team taught me the mental discipline and time management needed in order to juggle everything as well as excelling in the classroom. In my spare time I eagerly want to learn about new industry trends and photoshop techniques in order to make my work more unique. I also enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible with activities such as hiking, running, kayaking, and playing a variety of sports. Recently I received my AFAA Personal Training Certification and am looking to then certify in CrossFit and compete regularly with CrossFit competitions.
