I have been working with linux systems starting with Slackware back in 1994. I road the rocket of the early 2000's dotcom boom and came out alive and well armed to tackle anything that came my way. I am fluent with AWS, RackSpace, VMWare and many other cloud environments. I deploy systems with Chef or Puppet, keep source code in GitHub and work equally well on a team or solo. I have no problem with simple requests like "My server is dead" or complex requests like "Please build a scalable, load balanced, fully redundant server suite to house my Software as a Service" app. I'm happy to provide a resume on request.

I have over fifteen years experience in linux systems administration and development, having managed large environments composed of many thousands of systems. I believe I bring with me a valuable perspective on how to provide solutions for efficiently managing extremely large, and distributed environments without scaling headcount. Some of my accomplishments include having built site reliability/network operations centers from the ground up, from the development of the fault and performance management systems to the management of the staff. I have built up and administered large scale email infrastructures which would send and receive millions of emails daily. I have managed datacenter migration projects consisting of thousands of servers running live services. I have extensive experience in the online gaming industry, focusing on adminsitration, server engineering, and DevOps. I have even worked in a creative capacity as a writer and creative designer in the past, having co-created the MegaTokyo™ intellectual properties. Given the variety of roles I've had in my career, I consider myself a jack-of-all-trades. What I enjoy most is being able to provide value to the organizations that I am able to support, regardless of what role that places me in at the time. I worked as an Oracle Database Consultant for 3 years at a Hungarian Oracle partner company called Webváltó Ltd. I was a member of our Oracle Database customer support team. I develop various jobs in PL/SQL and bash in order to monitor daily operations and automate different tasks. I built custom scripts for our costumers who have Standard Edition licence, but need Enterprise features. I also took part in 24/7 on-call emergency support in this group. I have had various challenging tasks during my work experience at Webváltó, including taking part in migration, patching and license optimization projects. I have worked with different Oracle Database versions (10g, 11g) running on different operating systems (HP-UX, IBMAIX, Oracle Linux, Windows Server 2003, 2008). Besides my main duties I am involved in several inhouse projects in order to find cost effective (preferably open source) solutions to help achieving the management's vision about the company's new services. I mostly chose Ubuntu LAMP stack based programs. I also have a CEHv7 certification from EC-Council.
Working as a full-time system administrator with an extensive experience of over 5+ years in high-availability-24x7-medium-large environments. Disaster recovery, state of the art security (PCI-DSS), top-notch database clusters, large deployments scalable both horizontal and vertical. Passion driven individual with strong IT educational background (college + university) looking for new challenges.
I've spent the past 7 years developing an enterprise web application both on the front end with LAMP stack and on the back end data processing side with Java and Hadoop. I also have several years of experience with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and am available for consulting in that area.
