Hello - My name is Rick Cabrera. I am a QA professional with over 10 years of experience, I have utilized Agile, SCRUM and Waterfall QA Methodologies - I have a strong understanding of the SDLC and I have experience testing software including Java Web applications, C# Applications, .NET, PL/SQL, API, Blackbox, Workflows, 1x1 calls, B2B, B2C, Mobile Applications, Mobile Web, XML testing and proprietary systems testing. I am bi-lingual and well versed in English and Spanish (english is my native language). I have experience with manual and automated testing. I have worked at various large entities in various roles within QA including tester, business analyst and QA Lead. In my roles as a lead I was in charge of handling the complete QA process for projects assigned to me including verification and functionality of all new requirements and ensuring that the product delivered met all the guidelines set forth in any project definition document or business requirement document. This also included team management and providing metrics to Project Managers or QA Management. During my roles in testing I have verified systems that served 15 million customers including systems supporting government agencies and medical companies. I have released over 30 projects in my role in QA which has introduced many new technologies, brands, automation and various innovations which have impacted customers directly and indirectly. The introduction of automation to Customer Service Centers has reduced call rates, in one instance (TracFone Automated Self-Healing) an estimated 60,000 cases were resolved within the first 15 minutes of the systems release, 60,000 calls eliminated in 15 minutes. I posses a high level of adaptability to new software languages and technologies. I am a quick worker and am very thorough and analytical when it comes to any work that I do.
