I am an honors double major in Mathematics and Applied Math/Statistics at Stony Brook University and founder of Vivaldi Analytics, a small data analysis startup based on Long Island. I am an experienced GeoInformation, Statistics & Data Systems Specialist in research. I use a range of GIS and remote sensing software in research, mapping and development. These include, Esri ArcGIS, Erdas Imagine, ENVI, Mapwindow and Quantum GIS. For spatial database management, I work with PostgreSQL, Multi-user Geodatabases of ArcGIS, SQL Server and MySQL. As a researcher, I have a very good working experience in statistical analysis for spatial, social and bio-statistics. I am a conservation biologist/ecologist with a lot of experience in GIS, Remote Sensing and Statistics. I really enjoy spatial modelling especially when it concerns conservation issues like Climate Change, Biodiversity or Habitat Loss. I am the co-founder of a conservation organization named Cat Drop Foundation and I'm currently doing a PhD in natural resources and environment through the foundation and an external university.
I have worked in the environmental education and conservation industry for 6 years. My most recent job was working for local government where I ran awareness raising campaigns, performed online research, interpreted environmental and OH&S legislation and authored local government policy, applied for, administered and reported on grants, supervised staff, organized community events, created OH&S documents, educated children and adults on a variety of environmental themes, created environmental education materials, liaised with the media, created and utilized databases. Furthermore I have an honours degree in Environmental Science, so have experience in statistical analysis, data basing, online and journal based research, project design and planning, and report writing. I am currently teaching English in Guatemala on a voluntary basis to children and adults, so have experience preparing classes and fun learning activities and delivering classes. I am an Australian currently living in Guatemala looking for part-time work.
