Some developers like to do a little of everything (the ones with all of the acronyms after their names), but I think that makes it difficult to become an expert in one area. I love Access and that's all I want to do. When properly designed, Access is the fastest (and therefore the least expensive) tool to create desktop applications. I have over 13 years experience developing Access applications, and I have a lot of code already written in my personal library that can be reused on other projects, thus saving time and reducing errors. I prefer to develop Access Applications from scratch (with either an Access or SQL Server back-end database) -- that way, I can make sure it is done correctly from the beginning. I can also clean up applications created by others, and organize / import your data in a way that keeps everything connected. I understand database design and how information in one table relates to information in other tables. I can write complex VBA code (there isn't any problem I haven't been able to solve, one way or another, in Access). I can merge Access data with PDF reports, send emails through Outlook and post the entry in a Contact Log, import / export data to other applications such as Excel, and create Administrator screens that allow the Admins to configure the database (so you don't have to run back to the developer every time you want to make a simple change).
