I like challenges. I prefer Microsoft ASP and ASP.net programming, but I'm the guy who tackles things that I've never seen before. The guy who walked into a company that developed their own proprietary language system based off Python (why? Because they could I suppose) that was similar to PHP, and picked it up and was developing applications and solving bugs on my second day. I'm the guy who walked into the JSP shop and learned on the fly and was interfacing with EJB's on day 3 (day 2 was administering websphere). Languages come easy to me, and coding comes natural. I wear a lot of hats. You might be able to see that from my experience, but I have a hand and knowledge in a lot of different areas. I can administer a database just as well as I can script middleware for an e-commerce platform, and those just as well as I can make the front-end work in cross browser HTML and look good. I like this because I'm not necessarily stuck doing the same thing day in and day out. Big Scary Projects don't scare me. I've developed government accounting systems that involved more red tape than should be legal, and scripted websites that are now the center for their respective company's customer approach. The thrill in each of these projects was the complexity, and being able to see the big picture and making it all come together piece by piece. I laugh. I think personally that this is something that is more important than the other three I listed above. The world doesn't get me down, and stress doesn't make me crazy. I know how to diffuse tension, and can communicate well with other people, including bosses, direct reports, and co-workers. Specialties • 14 years hands-on experience in admin, development, and management. • System Development Life Cycle – all phases. • Created e-commerce platforms that currently take in 5 million in annual revenue. • Planned and administered million dollar annual budgets. • Researched and managed projects with 2 week scopes to 1 year timelines.

Print designer, PPT and Word master, SQL consultan...

Romania - Last active: 1 month ago - Tests: 10 - Portfolio: 3

My experience is based on professional print design & DTP, being also an MS Office power-user. I can deliver you custom PowerPoint/Word/Email templates starting just from the logo and a one-sentence description of what the "vibe" should be. This could continue with designing the complete set of corporate materials within the same design line. For print design, I can deliver final layouts (CorelDraw files - the premium solution for professional print design) for direct printing with digital, offset or indoor/outdoor large print technologies. Would like to help you designing: business cards, letterheads, flyers, brochures, catalogs, greeting cards, postcards, banners or other custom materials. For more than 5 years I've been developing web projects using .NET technologies and MSSQL/MySQL databases. After that I managed small teams (of 2-5 people) in developing websites, starting from simple corporate sites to complex e-commerce solutions. I could help you with a web solution for your business, as consultant, project manager or developer. Lately, I've completed some projects with Sibelius and Finale music editing, working with complex piano or chamber music scores (like Raff, Alkan, Heller, Hummel). Would be glad to also help you with your music editing projects using Sibelius (or Finale).

Future Infinite Simulations

Canada - Last active: 6 days ago - Tests: 10 - Portfolio: 3

Provide the highest of quality software engineering and development services for my clients. With over **20 years professional experience** and nearly **30 years programming experience**. I am educated in engineering and computer science and have a good base of knowledge of software engineering concepts and principals. See the following link for my philosophy [http://www.futureinfinite.ca/Content/OurCompany/HowWeDoThings.aspx][1]. If you are looking for something to be done; then I can do it - I have **never failed on any project I've worked on**. Explicitly I have worked quite a bit with Microsoft based languages, tools, and technologies: Visual Studio, MFC, C/C++, ATL, OLE, COM/DCOM, WFC, .NET, C#, VB, ADO, LINQ, LINQ to SQLT-SQL, Workflows, WCF, Configuration Services, Composite Applications, Distributed Systems, STL, to name a few and I have worked on many other non Microsoft tools and technologies. An area of specialization I have aquired over the past few years has been in the equities trading domain. I have spent the last 6 years developing a trading system and have had to become familiar with things like data aquisition, trading algorithms, and trade submision. I have used many different data feed providers (currently using TrackData services). I have developed a generalized trade request module (used by the clients of my system) and is currently configured to work with Interactive Brokers TWS [API]. The system has been optimized to process request in a very short timeframe. From aquisition to trade submission is between 2.5 and 5 seconds which is a very reasonable amount of time considering the amount of data being retrieved and processing occuring it. I pride myself on the ability to pick up new technologies and tools very quickly and efficiently. Everything in software development is based on some theory or concept; and understanding these theories and concepts is key in understanding how current and future technologies can be used. With others you will get a programmer with limited to no understanding of software engineering practices. With me you will get someone who knows how to take an idea, understand what that idea means; conceptualize it; logicalize it; organize it; design it, implement it, deploy it, and maintain it. In the end you will have deliverables of the highest quality that can easily grow as your project grows. Nothing in software is static; and I make sure that it isn't. I absolutely love software development and taking an idea and engineering it into a product. It gives me a great deal of pleasure in producing excellent products. Let's work together; let's make your product excellent. Peter Simard Future Infinite Simulations [1]: http://www.futureinfinite.ca/Content/OurCompany/HowWeDoThings.aspx
