I have been involved with Linux professionally for the last 12 years. I have worked on setting up Linux servers, including almost all network services DNS, DHCP, Web servers, MySQL Databases, iptables Firewalls, proxies ... You name it, I've done it. I've supported various multinational petroleum companies and communication giants. I am pretty sharp debugging and troubleshooting network issues. I've also worked for the past 5 years almost exclusively on cloud computing. Be it multinationals like Microsoft, Canonical, Sun Microsystems, Oracle and others, to governmental agencies and SMBs I regularly support various smaller businesses remotely, with yearly contracts. So I'm pretty used to working remotely and getting things done that way. My scripting skills enable me to automate almost all of the needed daily tasks. I absolutely love doing Cloud/Linux/Unix design, administration and support work. I will surely enjoy supporting you and your environment. My friends tell me, "the servers love you" :) I'm sure yours will too!

LinkedIn http://www.linkedin.com/in/jmdots Summary I've worked in technical administration, technical support, customer service or leadership roles for all but a few months of my adult life. In this time, I climbed the ranks of a highly-modern, lightning-paced, large-scale, multi-OS supercomputing environment in Area B of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) and became an avid user of all things open source. The place which was my professional home of over six years is known as the “Air Force Research Laboratory DoD Supercomputing Resource Center” or "AFRL DSRC" for short. The AFRL DSRC environment is home to the #19 supercomputer on the June 2011 Top500 Supercomputer List, a mammoth computer for which I received training: Cray Inc.'s "Raptor" XE6. I enjoy excelling in the IT industry by working smart by doing my research, building wisdom and having fun. I am in full time higher education (University) studying for a Masters (Hons.) in Physics with Particle Physics and Cosmology. Such a subject requires me to have a wide range of skills, good time management and the ability to logically approach tasks given to me. Over the past several years, I have worked on the occasional project developing my skills in basic programming, and web design; which equates to approximately two years of professional experience. Two years prior to University, I taught myself the LaTeX typesetting language; know it was the industry standard for typesetting Physics, Engineering and Mathematical documents. Since then, my skills in LaTeX have grown to include AMS-LaTeX equations and BibTeX referencing. More recently I have extended my skills further to included being able to write basic custom packages and classes. I have used Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems and comfortable on all three. I look forward to gaining more professional experience, improving myself and my skills, and your company.
