Talent: Math "Top 0.1%". I rapidly understand situations and can't stop to incubate new Ideas and concepts. Thus i could turn out a key in moving your idea into a profitable beta and making it a failproof one backed by stochastics and statistics. I would also like to leverage my skills by designing new robust social systems and programming core pieces, algorithms, distributed systems/databases, machine learning/AI, science. -- I look for milestone/performance-based payments, which fits unique non-repetitive work is most efficient for clients. I may also be happy to support your novel and positive or charitable project for free voluntarily. -- Yet i may very well turn out helpful in automating repetitive tasks which you would otherwise get done only manually through countless of freelancer hours. Through rapid prototyping the threshold of complexity/volume to break-even automation of a job is usually much smaller than clients expect and often comes with 100% accuracy. I would love to solve challenging and interesting problems in my area of expertise which is Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning( text domain). The specific areas of my interest are Sentiment / Opinion / Emotion Analysis , Search, Recommendation Systems, Question Answering systems, large scale text processing. My experience in these areas span over more than 7 years during which I have worked on many challenging problems in the areas of Recommendation Systems, Large scale search engines, Sentiment analysis, Question Answering System, Classification , Clustering, Information Extraction, Crawling etc. I have lot of experience of working with start-ups which almost all the time are trying to solve some new problem, I understand the culture and the demand. And I love coding. Though I have worked with many languages, lately I have been using Java and Python. I also know C++ and Perl well. Tools and Libs I am well-versed with: SOLR, Lucene, ElasticSearch, Mahout, Hadoop and the whole stack, Weka, NLTK, OpenNLP, svmlight, crf++, GATE, JAPE and amny more Nutch, Scrapy

I am a freelancing consultant working with startups to bring their ideas to real product. I have experience of more than 4 years of mentoring startups. Uptil now i have worked with 7 different startups in different capacities. I am a graduate from Georgia Tech with majors in High Performance Computing and Data Mining. I am experienced programmer in Python, PHP, C#, ASP.NET with sound knowledge of databases such as MySQL, MongoDB. I have worked a lot on developing massive crawling frameworks, handling huge amounts of data. I am seeking challenging projects, working with innovative people. Do drop me an email if you wish to know me more.
I am a successful data scientist with an academic background in Applied Mathematics as well as Computer science, and professional experience in quantitative finance, healthcare, (social) network analysis, and politics. Drawing on my technical skills, knowledge of statistical and computational principles, and real world experience, I provide high-quality data services: prediction, explanation, visualization, collection, and deployment. I have recently been involved with a number of interesting projects and competitions, including two top 10% results in Kaggle competitions, a model to predict individual's voting behavior in the US, a novel purely-functional python web scraper implementation, winning an energy consumption data science competition, collaborating with a healthcare startup to apply both supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods to health insurance data, and as a finance quant implementing machine learning methods to develop long-term investment strategies that managed millions of dollars. These projects highlight my diverse skill-set that encompass the full data science stack, from data engineering to web scraping, and from predictive modeling to data visualization. For data engineering and data pipeline/infrastructure development, I have experience with a number of tools, including Hadoop, mongodb, Spark, Lucene for search, and Nutch for when scraping needs to be scalable. For building data collection systems, I use python's BeautifulSoup for highly specified scraping projects, and requests with gevent for projects that necessitate multithreaded code. Data science necessarily involves a large amount of data wrangling and cleaning, for which I rely heavily on python's pandas library as well as unix command line tools. For predictive modeling and descriptive analysis (unsupervised learning), I implement both machine learning methods and traditional statistics techniques: convolutional neural nets for image processing, recurrent neural nets for highly chaotic time series data, Hidden Markov Models for repetitive sequences, Random Forest or Gradient Boosted Machines for homogenous data, and AR(I)MA for classic econometrics. To create static charts and graphs, I prefer R's ggplot library. However, for interactive visualizations I swear by d3 and its' derivatives, as well as Leaflet for mapping. Lastly, I typically use Django or Flask for web development, but am comfortable with Node as well.
