My professional career began at NASA working as a design engineer in a laboratory dedicated to earth sciences. During 12 years I garnered two patents related to GPS technology and did original design work with radars, lasers, radiometers and (at the time) high speed data acquisition systems. I left NASA to start a .com start-up providing Internet and other networking services in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. I sold this business in 2002 and moved to Mexico with my Mexican fiancee. Due to immigration problems with my new wife, I stayed in Mexico and have been here for 12 years. During this time, I got a US law degree from Concord University (an Internet play), a Mexican law degree, a Mexican Masters in Law degree and am now working on a Doctorate in Law specializing in Governmental Transparency. I have been a litigating attorney in Mexico for the past 6 years with my specialty being "amparo" (Mexican Constitutional Law) I have also done business/consulting work for local Mexican businesses.
