My real objective is to work completely virtual, and I believe I have the skill set to do so. I'm always eager to learn and put the skills that I know to the test. I do independent research of the graphic design programs that I've learned, and the more I learn the more I find there is to learn. Most of my work skills have been through Unix and Compuset while learning about Kornshell and some C code along the way. However, my study skills are in Graphic Design and learning the Adobe products, which I started learning about in 1998. I have been doing independent study on these programs to keep my skills up to date, and got back into the programs in study in 2005 - 2006. I have done a lot with computers in general, with knowledge of both Mac and Windows as well as Unix operating systems. I have always used Excel for simple spreadsheets, and use that to keep track of all my budgeting need, and have always used Word for all word document purposes. I know several different messengers, e-mailing programs and all kinds of other software. I'm the "computer guy" in the family as well as my wife's businesses, and so in short I'm looking to really try to take advantage of all the internet has to offer, and seeing if I can work completely virtual. Thank you!

Over the last 8-10 years, I've developed e-commerce websites, helped business owners increase and improve their website conversion rates, and have developed a PHP application that is specifically designed to help with website conversion rate improvement (SuperPageSplitter.com). I am a website conversion expert, website business consultant, email deliverability consultant and above all else, an experienced server administrator. This typically entails me providing advice (and often helping with the implementation of ideas I suggest) to develop a client's website, improve it (i.e. specify a "call-to-action" more clearly, track visitor data, and so forth), develop customer relationships (using e-mail marketing as a tool) and to make sure it has the framework in place to support the client's business -- whether that business is offline or online. My main focus is automating tasks, and this is what I specialize in helping my clients do in order to improve their productivity, help increase their base efforts exponentially, and free them (or their employees) up to work on more important things where the business may be concerned. As a programmer (PHP/Perl/Python/Shell Scripting), internet marketer, conversion rate expert, and e-mail deliverability specialist it is a typical day for me to help put together an e-mail campaign for a client's customers, track the data the customer's provide (via feedback forms, or activities they perform on the site), create shell scripts or PHP scripts to automate tasks, and ensure that the server it's all running on is secure. As an experienced server admin with 10+ years experience, I help clients with Apache, NginX, PHP, MySQL, BIND / named, and PCI Compliance. In fact, an article I wrote on PCI Compliance was published by CardPaymentOptions.com, which is a credit card processing online guide for new merchants: http://www.cardpaymentoptions.com/credit-card-processing/pci-compliance-guide-for-e-commerce-merchants/ In addition, I am very familiar with email marketing setup, email marketing software (such as Interspire Email Marketer, MailChimp, aWeber, ConstantContact, etc), and am very experienced in setting up the mailing environment properly and in such a way that email can be delivered to the inbox rather than the spam folder of the intended recipients.
