I'm a beer snob. Well, not a snob, but a beer knows-what-he's-talking about (who wants to be a snob?). I think they call it a Zythologist- someone who studies beer. I think that's fair to say; beer is a passion of mine, and I know a great deal about it. Brewing it, tasting it, writing about it, and, most importantly, selling it.
The blog - benlikesbeer.blogspot.com - started it, where I write a few times a month about "beerducation," seeking to educate people about the culture of beer, and how to appreciate it more. That lead to Bevmo, where I soon found a beer department under my ward; stocking shelves, learning more, and having conversations and making sales.Tastings were next, where I got to hold mini lectures on the beers I was serving (and, again, selling). It's also my job to hunt down the good stuff and get it on our shelves. The Cicerone license just expounded it, and I certainly indeed to get the next level as soon as possible (should be August - at Stone in Escondido, if my studies pay off).
What's more, I have interest in combining this passion with my degree - a BA in Digital Media - meaning App Developments, 3D media, and games (if you get creative).
All of this is backed up by a background in customer service in the food industry (in Time Square, no less), and has become a really fun thing to be passionate about.
Well, that's about it from me. I genuinely appreciate the interest, and I hope to hear from you soon.
