I have over 10 years of experience developing LAMP based applications. I started developing CGI web applications in the late 90's using PERL and then gradually switched to PHP and Python. Over the course of my career, I've found that most server builds greatly neglect their resources and have enjoyed customizing those environments to take full advantage of their potential. I have used and am comfortable with most software development environments but prefer open source software as it allows me to learn how the entire system technology stack operates. I love figuring out how people achieved certain results and then improving upon what they've accomplished. I recently started doing Mobile App development. I've done basic Apps for the iPhone and Android, however i'm concentrating on Windows Phone using C#.
I worked as an Oracle Database Consultant for 3 years at a Hungarian Oracle partner company called Webváltó Ltd. I was a member of our Oracle Database customer support team. I develop various jobs in PL/SQL and bash in order to monitor daily operations and automate different tasks. I built custom scripts for our costumers who have Standard Edition licence, but need Enterprise features. I also took part in 24/7 on-call emergency support in this group. I have had various challenging tasks during my work experience at Webváltó, including taking part in migration, patching and license optimization projects. I have worked with different Oracle Database versions (10g, 11g) running on different operating systems (HP-UX, IBMAIX, Oracle Linux, Windows Server 2003, 2008). Besides my main duties I am involved in several inhouse projects in order to find cost effective (preferably open source) solutions to help achieving the management's vision about the company's new services. I mostly chose Ubuntu LAMP stack based programs. I also have a CEHv7 certification from EC-Council.
