I started programming computers when I was ten years old, and, over the last 14 years, I've realized that I am, well, a programmer. That said, I do have the "people skills" necessary to remain competitive in the world of programming. When needed, I'm a "sit in the corner and program til the wee hours of the morning geek"... otherwise, I'm just a "fun to talk to, easy to get along with normal person". I have always enjoyed the challenge of creating interactive software. With the birth of the modern Internet, I found a new love in web development and web programming. I face every new piece of code as a fresh new beginning... a chance to do it even better, while, still using "what works" from the past. My objective, here at oDesk, it to provide potential employers with my expertise in the field of website desgin, development, and programming.

Hi there! :) Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile. I'm a graphic designer with a degree in the field from CSUS (California State University, Sacramento). I specialize in (but not limited to) Print Layout, Pre-press (setting files up for the printers), packaging as well as the creation & layout of interactive Apple Newsstand magazines for the iPad. I have 10 years experience in graphic design. Four of them were spent working for an international company as a Text & Layout Assistant. My primary responsibilities were: design of packaging labels, updating catalogs in different languages, setting up all design work to print-ready format and communicating with the printers until completion. Since then, I have worked as an independent designer and have had the opportunity to work in many different areas of design; from tedious typesetting work to more creative work like logos, interactive magazines or flash web banners. I'm based in France but my English is excellent having had the chance to experience and follow my education in two countries with completely different cultures; France and the US (California). Being bilingual also allows me to do translation work from English > French & French > English in my spare time. 3 of my best qualities: -Reliable -Good communicator -Perfectionist Software of choice: Adobe CS6 & Mag+ plugin (for iPad) Please feel free to view my online portfolio here : www.eclipsegraphix.fr I am available to chat on Skype (and have a working mic).
First i am a proud nerd. In fact, an expert nerd. Additected to every new tecnologies and i have programmed everything from basic to c++ , including cobol, fortrand, pascal, lisp, prolog and of course HTML, java , php. My first program was when i was 12, i have programmed a database to manage all my games and books... in a 48k timex spectrum. So while my friends were actually trying to play games i was having fun with basic. At 18 i was doing a neural language AI application in prolog for high school. I was owner of computer companies and worked from architectural and machinery design in Autocad where i programed in Lisp to accelerate my work. My latest personal projects was the creation of a Telecom provider where i have solely developed the billing software and managed all the sites and linux servers. I am the CEO and owner of that company. So i became na expert on VoIP solutions , including asterisk where i have contributed with code changes. With that knowledge i have created and developed a new range of communication servers that today have the most advanced features i know, however having a simple , intuitive interface. Since these challenges are "done" and i need to have new projects to be happy, I am presently looking for new challenges and i have been playing with Android and its wonders. I also developed some Android applications on my own. Personally i am a workaholic. A proactive and self motivated person that in all projects i enter i give my 100%. I am a honest frontal person, i will allways contribute positivily with ideas in the projects i get involved. I am flexible and i work well under pressure, i sometimes make coworkers more nervous because i keep looking relaxed even when people are starting to panic. (this took years of training). So if you have an interesting project that is a challenge to me. I'm In!!
Seven years of experience in software development, specialized in technologies related to the Java platform. Majority of the developed applications leverage concepts of ORM (Hibernate, iBatis, JPA2), dependency injection and inversion of control (Spring), web services (SOAP, but mainly REST - using Jersey frequently), rich GUI (ExtJS) etc. Involved in other phases of the project cycle beyond the actual development, such as interaction with clients, requirements analysis, and project organization. Comfortable with organizing demos and presentations for clients. Worked both for large companies and startups, always in the international environment. Seeking the opportunities to take part in even more challenging projects by opening to the global market and focusing on freelancing.
