Since 1998 I have developed dozens of web applications focusing on a wide-range of industries including custom search engines, affiliate marketing, real estate solutions and worker safety. As an autodidact, I pride myself on learning new technologies and continually improving my skill-set. As a freelancer, I believe in professionalism, clean code and representing my craft to the highest degree possible. On the server-side, Laravel is my current PHP framework of choice, although I am comfortable working with Zend, CodeIgniter, Cake and Yii. For the database layer, I have 14 years of experience with MySQL. On the client-side, I prefer jQuery, Backbone and Twitter Bootstrap. Although I am not a graphic designer, I know my way around the Adobe software suite. I write standard compliant HTML5 and CSS3. I have an eye for useable, clean and obvious functionality. I have experience with many APIs, including Amazon, Box.net, Infusionsoft, Facebook, Twitter, PayPal, eWay, Authorize.net and Google. I can write APIs from scratch and give your application a RESTful interface. I am seeking opportunities to build custom web applications from the ground up or taking an existing code base and improving upon it.
I like challenges. I prefer Microsoft ASP and ASP.net programming, but I'm the guy who tackles things that I've never seen before. The guy who walked into a company that developed their own proprietary language system based off Python (why? Because they could I suppose) that was similar to PHP, and picked it up and was developing applications and solving bugs on my second day. I'm the guy who walked into the JSP shop and learned on the fly and was interfacing with EJB's on day 3 (day 2 was administering websphere). Languages come easy to me, and coding comes natural. I wear a lot of hats. You might be able to see that from my experience, but I have a hand and knowledge in a lot of different areas. I can administer a database just as well as I can script middleware for an e-commerce platform, and those just as well as I can make the front-end work in cross browser HTML and look good. I like this because I'm not necessarily stuck doing the same thing day in and day out. Big Scary Projects don't scare me. I've developed government accounting systems that involved more red tape than should be legal, and scripted websites that are now the center for their respective company's customer approach. The thrill in each of these projects was the complexity, and being able to see the big picture and making it all come together piece by piece. I laugh. I think personally that this is something that is more important than the other three I listed above. The world doesn't get me down, and stress doesn't make me crazy. I know how to diffuse tension, and can communicate well with other people, including bosses, direct reports, and co-workers. Specialties • 14 years hands-on experience in admin, development, and management. • System Development Life Cycle – all phases. • Created e-commerce platforms that currently take in 5 million in annual revenue. • Planned and administered million dollar annual budgets. • Researched and managed projects with 2 week scopes to 1 year timelines.
Hi, I developed web applications for last 4 years using PHP, MySQL, xHTML, CSS, JS (native and with framework). I worked on absolutely new projects and maintained existed ones. I also have some experience in SQL, Ajax, OOP, JSON, XML and worked with different php frameworks (I prefer Kohana to build websites from the ground up).I'm seeking work to create awesome web applications. If you have some work for me - let's discuss collaboration.
I have several years of experience working in web design both with a team and individually. I love new challenges and give my best effort in everything I do. Although I have a lot of knowledge, I am always willing to learn more. I pride myself on my ability to analyze and solve problems. I can communicate with anyone. I can write code, but I also have a good sense for business and marketing. You will find that I am well rounded with my skills and very easy to work with!
Over the last 2 years, I have developed a wide range of websites using HMTL, DHTML, PHP, OOP, Ajax, and MySQL including web applications and sites for startup companies and small businesses. My core competency lies in complete end-end management of a new website and application development project, and I am seeking opportunities to design and build websites from the ground up for you or your business. I have an adequate experience in Wordpress, Magento, CoreCommerce, Joomla and lot of other online content management systems. I also have some experience in the following areas: ASP.NET, InDesign, Photoshop, and web design and testing. http://faisalmughal.com/
