Most recently I have led teams through the re-branding and launching of 14 websites, 19 social media pages and an online community as the Digital Media Director at Robert Kennedy Publishing (RKP), home to fitness and lifestyle magazines such as Oxygen Women's Fitness magazine, Clean Eating, Reps magazine, Musclemag and New York Times Best-Selling Book Series, The Eat-Clean Diet®. SOCIAL PAGES I've launched and led the strategy behind in which I'm especially proud of: FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/cleaneatingmag https://www.facebook.com/oxygenmag https://www.facebook.com/eatcleandiet TWITTER: https://twitter.com/oxygenmagazine https://twitter.com/cleaneatingmag https://twitter.com/toscareno YOUTUBE: http://www.youtube.com/cleaneatingmag http://www.youtube.com/oxygenmagazine http://www.youtube.com/eatcleandiet http://www.youtube.com/musclemagintl COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION http://www.eatcleandiet.com/the_kitchen_table/ RECENT WEBSITE LAUNCHES I'M MOST PROUD OF: http://www.cleaneatingmag.com http://www.oxygenmag.com http://www.eatcleandiet.com http://www.musclemag.com In my spare time, as a writer, I have written and published over 200 articles in print and online publications, specializing in interviews and event coverage with a lean towards fitness, health, sports and lifestyle topics. The publishing world is taking a hit these days and due to downsizing, my position as Digital Media Director at RKP was eliminated in November 2012. I am now working from home with a focus in digital and social media marketing, consulting, writing, design and project management. In the last couple of years I've collaborated with sales, corporate, e-comm, subscriptions and editorial teams to drive cohesive in-house web, print, email and social media marketing campaigns that helped grow and engage a combined fan base of over 500,000 likes, followers, members and subscribers. I've worked on campaigns such as monthly contests, e-Commerce promotions, branding materials, weekly videos, digital ad banners, e-blasts, surveys, community panels, e-newsletters and social media page updates which helped double, if not triple the traffic on company sites and increased subscription sales. I helped RKP transition from monthly updates to daily and weekly updates. As a result, I've published a blog series called "Going Digital" for Canada's Unbound Media, a blog for online magazines and media sites. The series is all about helping a company transition their content to the digital realm. You can find it the series here: http://blog.agilitycms.com/going-digital-5-surprising-ways-a-cms-can-unite-a-print-and-digital-team My combined creative and technical background in publishing, writing and web design has led to my ability to successfully strategize and collaborate with company stakeholders and internal and external clients regarding all digital inventory, marketing campaigns, annual editorial schedules, workflows, team staffing and infrastructure decisions.

I am an entrepreneur, and love to solve problems, whether it finding an elusive programming bug, finding a solution to a difficult programming problem, or tracking down information. If I can have fun working on a problem, and impress you with the results, I'll be happy. My main experience is with complex programming using C/C++ in Windows (with an emphasis on networking), while starting small businesses and marketing them (having gotten clients such as the USPS, NASA, Boston Celtics, and Department of Homeland Security). I also have a lot of experience with networking (DNS, IPs, domains). Much of my work has been with mission critical projects. I am not looking for full-time work, just smaller projects that interest me. Some of my unique specialties include: • COMPLEX PROGRAMMING TASKS: When programming, I enjoy challenges, such as: multi-threading issues, sorting billions of pieces of data, processing 1000s of concurrent TCP/IP connections, processing more data than can fit in memory, real-time sorting of thousands of pieces of incoming data per second. • DEBUGGING: I have extensive experience debugging software. I like to find elusive bugs, such as deadlocking. I'm familiar with reading stackwalks, tracing where in code errors occur, and tracking down what conditions caused an error. • OPTIMIZATION: I love to determine why code (or websites) are running slower than expected. I use functions that time down to the .000001 second, know how to find and test different algorithms for speed, can read assembly, and can profile code. • INTERNET DETECTIVE, DNS/IP/DOMAIN INVESTIGATION: Outside of programming, I have a lot of experience with taking minimal information about a person or organization and discovering as much information as possible about the person or organization. Sometimes I just have a name and city, or IP address or phone number, and can come up with an amazing amount of information. • ETHICAL WEB SCRAPING, DATA MINING: I won't do the 95% or so that are illegal and/or immoral. But if you want, say, a list of all .com domains that have the word 'restaurant' on their home page, yes, I've got a way of doing that. Or any scraping where you have permission to do so. My preferred method of communication is E-mail (I've found it to be most efficient most of the time), but am happy to use the phone (or Skype) if desired. I will only apply for a job if I feel that I can solve your problem. I do not yet have any feedback, but will be more than happy to provide references, and will do my best to ensure you are completely satisfied with my work. I am also happy to take on fixed-price jobs (where you do not pay until the job is done to your satisfaction).

I have built and rebuilt all manner of Windows Servers I have monitored and maintained thousands of network devices and a CRM webportal that served thousands of users across the US I have wrangled data for financial systems, CRMs, and data warehousing I have implemented mail delivery I appreciate your consideration.
