I love a challenge, ask me to do something not done before, I dare you! I humbly consider myself an expert in 3DSmax w/Vray, Zbrush and Photoshop. I'm comfortable with many other software packages, but those aforementioned are my real strength. Seems I won the top 25 providers on Odesk again, in fact this month (dec) I came second to an Indonesian chap, who only charges $5ph... at that price he can keep first place I don't want it that bad. ;) Methodology: Whilst I am in your employ I like to stream my desktop so you can look over my shoulder and provide feedback at your leisure. I'm also happy to chat whilst I work, though I need both hands, so it needs to be via headset I'm afraid. Strong, clear, concise communication is absolutely paramount, and that works both ways. Dialogue is great, however summarising all discussion via email/chat is important so we may record an agreed course of action. I work a regular GMT working week, but can be called to my desk via txt, email or whatsap most of the time. Footnote: Top 3 lines that make me chortle... one or more bundled with every other project. "Once I get my funding I'll be able to pay you what you are worth" - Classic Catch-22. It sounds like you need my work to raise the money to pay me. I want to work, not gamble. "There's much more work on the horizon, if you're good I can keep you busy for years" - Classic pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. You can never reach the horizon, so the analogy is quite accurate. with these words said I've received dazzling feedback, client was blown away, jaws were dropped.. yet the 'more work' never transpires. "You're rate seems a higher than others, can you do it for..." - Classic False economy. It may seem high compared to some, unless you consider that I could (and would) do something in one day that it would take someone else (probably a less scrupulous person) a month to do. My rate is based upon my 9 years of experience, top end rig, and the breadth of work I've done. Ultimately I charge for working at full tilt, nose to the grindstone. I don't eek out my hours to con you into paying more. Every minute I log I am proactively working. I don't bill to put the kettle on, or to relieve myself. If you feel I am working on something I wasn't asked to, or that I'm dragging my heels, I'll prove otherwise or refund those hours. Aside from being a decent honest way to work, I find this gets the job done quicker and is more lucrative for me, whilst also keeping my output high.
