There has been an endless effort of numerous dedicated people to blend traditional art with digital tools. When there were numbers of tools widely available, I chose a few of them that fit my criteria best. I use 3DS Max, Maya, ZBrush, Mudbox, Photoshop, Corel Painter and After effects for my jobs. Even though I enjoy doing architectural and product visualization jobs, I am mostly fond of working as a character animator and make short films, ad films and video game animations including stunning 3d characters and dynamic simulations such as cloth, rigid bodies, smoke, fire, hair and fur etc. I have been a CG artist working in productions since 2001. Before that, since I was a teen, I used to draw and paint my own comic book series some of which was published regularly in a monthly magazine in my country. In my CG artist career, I have landed numerous projects which included 2d concept arts, story boards, 3d character and assets modeling, texturing, surfacing, character rigging, animation and rendering for games and advertisements with complete satisfaction from the clients' end. For me, every project is a new challenge. Facing them, winning them is my job. I try to simplify the difficulties of a project so that it looks easy and in good control. Being an artist for about 15 years, I strive to create artworks just as appealing as ever green traditional artworks. I try to apply beauty and fragrance in my digital artworks. And my clients are the ones who judges if I am successful or not.

My goal is to take a brief and produce convincing images of the project that allows the designer to see the reality of their idea. 3D Visuals are a great tool for presentation and allow the client to see a 'photograph' of the finished design even before construction begins.I have over 15 years of experience with 3D imagery and pride myself on producing an accurate, cost effective, personal solution to your visualisation needs; on time and on budget. To get a more complete idea of the quality of my work please visit my website - [http://www.3D-Visualist.com] - and browse through some of my recently completed projects. : http://www.odesk.com/leaving_odesk.php?ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.3D-Visualist.com (You are about to go to a URL outside odesk.com)
I've been working as a freelance 3D artist for the last 8 years. My areas of expertise are architectural renderings and product visualization renderings (mainly for graphic/web advertising and television commercials). I work mostly with architectural projects, rendering ortographic views, perspectives and floor plans. All of these are usually destined to take part in presentations to get approval of the projects. Accuracy is very important in this kind of projects, every detail must be taken care of. Having worked with many of these projects helped me to sharpen my eye for details. Some of my most important architectural projects include renders for brands like Wendy's, CVS Pharmacies, Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, KRAFT Foods and IKEA. I have also worked with product renderings for many well known brands in my country, such as Ace (laundry powder), VO5 (hair gels, sprays and shampoo), Speed (energy drink), La Serenisima (milk, yoghurt, etc).

3D obsessive seeks work to make the screaming stop at night. Expansive experience, my primary passion and focus is pure modelling. I love a challenge, ask me to do something not done before, I dare you! I humbly consider myself an expert in 3DSmax w/Vray, Zbrush and Photoshop. I'm comfortable with many other software packages, but those aforementioned are my real strength. Seems I won the top 25 providers on Odesk again, in fact this month (dec) I came second to an Indonesian chap, who only charges $5ph... at that price he can keep first place I don't want it that bad. ;) Methodology: Whilst I am in your employ I like to stream my desktop so you can look over my shoulder and provide feedback at your leisure. I'm also happy to chat whilst I work, though I need both hands, so it needs to be via headset I'm afraid. Strong, clear, concise communication is absolutely paramount, and that works both ways. Dialogue is great, however summarising all discussion via email/chat is important so we may record an agreed course of action. I work a regular GMT working week, but can be called to my desk via txt, email or whatsap most of the time. Footnote: Top 3 lines that make me chortle... one or more bundled with every other project. "Once I get my funding I'll be able to pay you what you are worth" - Classic Catch-22. It sounds like you need my work to raise the money to pay me. I want to work, not gamble. "There's much more work on the horizon, if you're good I can keep you busy for years" - Classic pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. You can never reach the horizon, so the analogy is quite accurate. with these words said I've received dazzling feedback, client was blown away, jaws were dropped.. yet the 'more work' never transpires. "You're rate seems a higher than others, can you do it for..." - Classic False economy. It may seem high compared to some, unless you consider that I could (and would) do something in one day that it would take someone else (probably a less scrupulous person) a month to do. My rate is based upon my 9 years of experience, top end rig, and the breadth of work I've done. Ultimately I charge for working at full tilt, nose to the grindstone. I don't eek out my hours to con you into paying more. Every minute I log I am proactively working. I don't bill to put the kettle on, or to relieve myself. If you feel I am working on something I wasn't asked to, or that I'm dragging my heels, I'll prove otherwise or refund those hours. Aside from being a decent honest way to work, I find this gets the job done quicker and is more lucrative for me, whilst also keeping my output high. I love what I do, I hope you will too. thanks, Sam
