I have an Honors Degree in English and Sociology, a Postgraduate Higher Diploma in Community and Youth Work, and a Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, a Certificate in ECDL. I also have completed FETAC level 5 Mental Health Awareness course and Website Design courses.
I have created and designed, and was technical writer and wrote website content, for 2 websites and I am creating a third.
I write short fiction and flash fiction. I have completed a Degree in English and three creative writing courses. I have five short stories published to date. My website www.teresasweeney.com displays some of my creative writing. Also this site was designed, created, and completed by me.
I am a native English speaker, I have taught English as a foreign language, in Ireland and abroad. I reviewed, proofread and made recommendations for an English Language course book, ‘Towards Excellence in English’, 2008, by Esaya Britto. I proofread Thesis work for PHD student Casimir Raj.M.
I worked as an English Grammar Tutor, Galway, December 2008- April 2009. During this period I taught English grammar on a one-to-one basis for a business professional who wished to improve grammar skills in report writing and presentation delivery.

I have excellent knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. From teaching English Language and grammar at so many different levels of ability I have developed and strengthened my own ability in recognising correct grammar and spelling in written work. I am able to apply these skills to examining and correcting other people’s work.
From completing an ECDL course, I have excellent computer skills.
