I am also a detail-oriented writer, and I consider correct spelling and grammar to be non-negotiable requirements of everything I do in the writing! I do not have many clocked hours on oDesk because I prefer flat rate projects, but I have worked many hours on fixed-price jobs contracted through oDesk. I have received great feedback, and most of my clients re-hire me frequently or have plans to do so in the near future. Many of my most recent projects have been for proofreading and copy-editing eBooks and online articles or websites, and I have received excellent feedback on everything.
Proofreading fiction and non-fiction materials in various formats (articles, books, websites, business documents, etc.), copy-editing, transcription, data entry, desktop publishing, research, product reviews and descriptions, creative writing, and informative guides are all things I do on a regular basis. I am happy to complete a small portion of your project to see if I meet your expectations before hiring, or I can also provide examples if preferred. My work always passes copy scape or any other checks for plagiarism (which is something I take very seriously and avoid at all costs). I consider each project to be highly confidential and have no problem both signing and honoring a confidentiality agreement.

I have many years of experience as a secretary in several non-profit organizations where my duties included various data entry and transcription tasks along with creating documents and spreadsheets to fit different needs and projects. I am often asked to write short paragraphs for various informational needs, and I frequently use my creative writing skills as well. Because of a heart condition, I have been unable to complete the requirements for my degree, but I am only one semester short of obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in English and have a 4.0 in all subjects related to English (including Technical Writing) with an overall GPA of 3.8. I am looking for short-term and/or long-term opportunities to both supplement my income and keep my editing and writing skills active while working from home.
