My name is John Burrows - I am self employed and have been running three small businesses over the past five years, both online and offline. My main business is JDB Computing, an IT repair and services business. I primarily perform hardware and software repairs on laptop and desktop computers, as well as a range of other related services - virus removal, data destruction, etc. I have been running this business since 2010, and providing online support services since 2011. The sister business of JDB Computing is JDB Media, a web and print design business. While the bulk of my experience lies in PHP, Wordpress, Opencart, Prestashop and Linux server administration, I also deal with print design and typesetting, including the typesetting contract for a local newspaper. The third business I run is a jewellery company - currently called Maelstrom but soon to be changed. This grew out of a hobby, as I have no formal qualifications, but am very interested in the shaping and forming of metals, particularly casting in copper, silver and pewter. Nowadays these are somewhat rare skills, with most precise metal work being done either by extremely high end jewellers, or overseas. I have chosen PPH as I have been subscribed to the email newsletter for several months now, watching and recording the amount of relevant job postings that I would be suitable for, and there seem to be a reasonable amount.
Good day, For over 20+ years I have proven myself to be a front-line Sales & Marketing executive that holds himself accountable for sales results. Yes, sales results. That's marketing's function - to support sales activity. Consider this: Strategy was the disarming boy with a sling - the tactic was the spinning stone and its accuracy that dropped Goliath. To those ends, I develop challenge-specific, strategic approaches and unique tactical implementation (branding, web, ad campaigns [Broadcast, web, eMKT + DM], video, collateral, events, sales programming), to deliver on our mutual ROI commitments. In the marketing arena my strategic directives and tactical programs are focused upon increasing: + Market-share through audience Mind-share + Tangible ROI from marketing resources & expenditures I have extensive experience in working with the top universities incubators, entrepreneurs, and Fortune 50 - 1000 companies in delivering ROI based campaign development and management in: B-2-C + B-2-B categories. We are Triple Bottom Line firm; people, planet and profit ("three pillars of sustainability"). To deliver; On Strategy, On Time & On Budget - I develop comprehensive Project Scope, Creative Brief, and Production Schedule documents that are reviewed and agreed to before projects begin. "If you're not in the "consideration set" - you're not in the shopping cart," Timothy J. Martin, M.A.
