I am a communications and software engineer with 10+ years of experience I have strong experience in the quntitative programming usually writing trading strategies for NinjaTrader7. Also have strong experience with the Betfair betting exchange API. Usually programming in Java and C# High Level of math knowledge - graduated the Sofia High School Of Mathematics, A+. Strong data base skills. During the last five years I have specialized in trading bots and strategies(NinjaTrader), betting bots (using the Betfair API) and also automated betting engines which are simulating human activity in the bookmakers websites. Strong experience with data scraping/web scraping and data processing. I can tell you a lot of things about me and my experience but will be boring. If you are interested in working together I will share any info about me and my finished projects and experience. Best wishes, Vladimir

Post your data mining project on oDesk and find experienced data mining consultants and analysts. These professionals have in-depth knowledge of various data mining algorithms and techniques, as well as data mining software (like WEKA, Oracle, Orange) and can be involved in all aspects of data mining, from web mining and search engines to machine learning and business intelligence. These specialists can develop data mining programs to analyze stock markets and other large datasets to discover patterns and perform predictive analysis, or use custom data mining applications—using new or existing algorithms (clustering, association, anomaly detection) and known representations (Wavelet transform, Gaussian processes)—for ECG data analysis purposes.
Data mining is the practice of processing large-scale datasets to discover patterns and generate new information. On oDesk, the world’s largest online workplace, you will find skilled software developers and data miners to develop applications for scraping large data from servers, databases, websites, directories or wikis and then analyzing and extracting the required data in databases or CSV, XLS and ACCDB files.

Over the years I have consistently delivered high quality products by accurately interpreting complicated data needs, understanding complex business processes, recommending approaches and tools, and delivering solutions to improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the organizations I have worked for. Specifically, I have implemented solutions that involved geographic information systems, web application development, database design and programming, data visualization and analysis, data warehousing, data mining, business intelligence, and predictive analytics. I have used a variety of tools based on the needs of my customers including the wide range of Microsoft products, SAS, R, Java, Oracle, ArcGIS, JSP, Tableau, among others. My core competency is the ability to understand complex problems and provide workable solutions given a set of resources and tools. I tend not to dictate solutions based on a specific set of tools, but would rather have the problem define which combination of tools, processes, and people would work best. In this case, the old adage applies "Everything looks like a nail when all you have is a hammer." I look forward to working with you.

Exceed your Expectations I began surprising people while in my teens, and decades later, that hasn't stopped. Whether my next surprise is rescuing a seemingly hopeless system, sending you 50$ refunds for every bug found in my software, turning an everyday report request into the discovery of a new cost-saving business process, herding cats (e.g. programmers) living around the world into becoming a world class team, or helping you learn what you didn't know you needed to learn, I can't yet say. But everyone likes unexpected gifts. I look forward to working with you. P.S. I am fluent in German. In French I have some reading knowledge and a *very* basic conversational ability (French is such a beautiful language, I look forward to having a pressing business need to rapidly become fluent). I used to be fairly fluent in Japanese; someday I hope to regain that as well.
I started developing about 30 years ago. In my career I have worked for public administrations, banks and very important E-commerce web sites such as Yoox. I have a deep experience in J2EE, Asp.Net., sql server, Oracle dbms, android. J2EE most used tecnologies: Spring, struts, axis, hibernate, JSP, JSF, JPA, EJB, Jboss. Microsoft: SSIS, C#, IIS, MVC, RabbitMQ Preferred IDES: Eclipse, NetBeans, Visual studio.
From missile defense systems (AMDWS) to simple LAMP driven web applications for over 10 years I have been working in the Open Source arena with a focus on Linux Systems and some Unix Based Systems (Solaris 10, FreeBSD). I have packaged for multiple Linux distributions, primarily RPM based, but do have some deb experience. For a brief period of time I ran my own Linux Distribution (Synergy Linux) to make in house servers easier to strip down and maintain for various pin point tasks (ie. NTP servers etc.) I am familiar with mock, koji and other Redhat distribution based imaging systems. I have had to edit and write with multiple scripting languages, bash, ruby (selenium), python, perl and even modified C and C++ patches to apply cleanly to new packages. I like a good challenge and to continue pushing myself to learn something new. I currently am working for a great employer as a Linux and Cisco Unified Call Manager Administrator, but I am in what I like to call maintenance mode. So I am looking for challenging side jobs to do in order to keep me on the cutting edge of opensource technologies. Also I don't mind doing remedial jobs just to earn a few extra dollars to further support my family. Depending on what other jobs I am currently doing I may be looking for a Linux support role, or just simply a data entry role I can write a script for. In either scenario I am excited to network and meet new people. Thank you for your consideration (and time in reading this). Kind Regards, Jeremiah
I have experience of 3+ years of data mining in different fields like: computer vision, pattern recognition, text mining, natural language processing etc. For last year I took part in some big data projects using hadoop+java and map/reduce pattern. In my work I use python, java, R, c# and sql.
PhD-level Bioinformatician, with more than 7 years of experience analyzing human and non-human biological datasets. The types of datasets I previously worked with include Next Generation Sequencing (e.g. RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq), cDNA microarrays, MS3 Proteomics, and Genome-Wide Association Studies. In addition to data analysis work (R, python, or perl-based), I have been involved during the last 2 years on website development projects (Django, Ruby on Rails, Backbone, Twitter Bootstrap, AWS). I also frequently develop web scraping and visualization tools. One of my main goals on oDesk is to enhance my knowledge and contribute to interesting projects, which do not necessarily have to be biology-oriented.
